I have a 2018 GTC and love it! My only gripe is that the map has never been updated. I realised this after it had gone out of warranty though. 2 questions:
1. How easy is it to get the update and is it over the air or USB?
2. Would I be better just getting an Apple CarPlay kit fitted and move away from the car satnav? (Any recommendations greatly received for Uk CarPlay)
With regards to CarPlay, I believe at this point there is no reliable after market CarPlay option for the 2018 GTs. There are some out there, but I have yet to see a report of someone installing it and it working 100%.
Thanks for the great response to my post. I think I will leave the car play option. Looks like it’s not worth spending around £500 on something that may not work.

I don't see the GT model listed. Any ideas on which one will work?
Send them an email and ask. If you send them your COMAND version (NTG5?? or whatever) and Nav software version info (normally available somewhere via the COMAND menus), they'll likely be able to help. My understanding is that the person that runs this site purchases the code via a Mercedes dealer so if an update is available and can be done via card or USB memory, he'll have access to it.
