Traded in my 18 GTC, will have take off parts for sale

Hello all,

I just traded in my 18 AMG GTC yesterday, was just time for something else. I will be selling my HRE 20/21 wheel setup in the coming weeks. 275F/355R that fits the AMG GTC and GTR perfectly! Also have Renntech BOVs and EVM that are in perfect working order. I also have the DarwinPro fixed rear wing (GTR style) with the bypass module for the motorized wing replacement. Feel free to PM me if interested.

Thank you,
Chris

Are those HRE's flow formed or forged? Also the rears appear inset a bit, with 355's is there any rubbing?

The photo above had 325's on the rear. At that time they didn't make the Michelin 4s in a 355, last year I swapped them for the 355's Wheels Boutique did the offsets for 355's so there was no issues at all with rubbing, even with the rear wheel steering.

These are forged P201s, below is a snap of the invoice from WB.

The HREs were spec'd for your GTC, correct? I'm not sure that the GTC and GTR are 100% identical specs. Are you sure that there is zero difference between the two?

Thanks!

Yes the GTC and GTR are identical specs as far as custom wheel fitment, I worked with Wheels Boutique on these wheels and this is the exact spec for a GTR. Both GTC and GTR are the wide body design, both have RWS (rear wheel steering). They had done a few of these setups on GTRs using the Pirelli tires, I wanted Michelin 4s so started with 325 on the rear then had a cut rear tire about a year and a half ago so I ordered the 355s at that point.

It wouldn’t appear that setup is same as GTR front fascia is 2” wider. , but another member also confirmed they are same spec.

Yes the front facia is 2" wider, the GTR also has active areo in the front facia, but that has nothing to do with the wheel fitment. Please feel free to contact any vendor who sells custom wheels for the AMG GTC/GTR and confirm.

Below is a snapshot from RennTech wheel selection for example, notice how it says GTR/C.
Again I urge you to call any vendor who sells custom wheels for the AMG GT GTC/GTR and ask for yourself if you need further confirmation.

Hi,

That doesn't correspond to the facts.

Simplified:
All GT/GTS are the same.
GTR is wider at the front and rear. Has different rim widths and offsets.
GTC front is like GTS, back like GTR , but it doesn't have the same rear rims as the GTR.

Real data:
GT/GTS/GTC front: 265/35 R 19 on 9 J x 19 ET 61
GTR front: 275/35 R 19 on 10 J x 19 ET 56

GT/GTS rear: 295/30 R 20 on 11 J x 20 ET 68
GTC rear: 305/30 R 20 on 12 J x 20 ET 46
GTR rear: 325/30 R 20 on 12 J x 20 ET 52

With all models you still have a save 15mm reserve, to the outside.
This allows you to add 1/2" - 1" rim width, without modifications on the body.
With these values and the desired tire width, the rims can be calculated exactly.

Can not be, that the same rims, are offered for the GTC and the GTR.
Then the rim builder is doing his homework not properly.
Shure, will be mountable on both. But i think, then the front is not optimal for either the GTC, or the GTR, or for both.

Best regards

Stenzel

Hey Jordan,

I actually still have them available, I didn't really push selling them as I was in the middle of planning a wedding, etc. Feel free to PM me if interested and I'll make you a great deal on them if they'll work for your car.

Rear, yes. Front Nope.

The GTC has a regular GT front end and a wider (GTR) rear. So, they will fit but will need spacers to look right.

They were actually configured with GTR offsets on the front wheels, so no, you would not need spacers for GTR to "Make them look right". Look at the photos of them on the car, you can see how far out the fronts come on the GTC.. This is no different than anyone else who put GTR wheels on the GTC, with the exception of the rears are actually half an inch wider than the factory GTR wheels to accommodate the 355 tires.
