MyGenius OBD2 flash loader allows you to:

- Switch between different tuned maps and your ORIGINAL stock tune at your convenience.

- Remove the loaded tune and return to the factory stock map before dealer servicing without removing the ECU.


MyGenius OBD2 flash loaders are in stock and overnight shipping is available for next day delivery.
If you have previously purchased a Bench Flash/ECU send-in type tune from us in the past or had an OBD2 local install, purchase of an OBD2 flash loader at a later date is no problem.

I have the OE Tuning for my 2018 GTC Edition 50 and am very pleased with the results and ease of switching between tunes. I had a special tune for 92 octane gas. I haven't tried the race gas tune yet but will report back when I do.

Yes, I use this on my GTS. No problems, unless you press the throttle too hard, then might have a problem if you are not careful.

Since the smog people in LA County are snooping to see if you have an altered ECU how is this going to work? Even if you flash it back to stock they must be able to see that there is something special about yours?
Please illuminate us.

We have seen vehicles with modified software and unmodified software pass CA Smog testing. It varies drastically between each year, make and model. There is no set rule to what will and wont pass from what we have seen.
You can always remove your tune and go back to 100% stock if "Modified Software" is the cause for failing smog testing (or do this before testing). We have the ability to flash 100% stock MB calibrations at our Santa Ana location and via MyGenius OBD2 flash loader.

I flash mine back to stock before I get service. It is very easy and takes about 5 minutes - the only "hassle" is hooking the battery up to an external charger to be sure there is no power interruption during the swap.

Is a trickle charger plugged into the trunk good enough or does it need to be a more powerful battery charger?

We do not recommend a trickle charger when flashing, as it cannot maintain a stable battery charge.
A 40A charger is what MB recommends when programming and doing diagnostic work.
There are 20A, wall type plug-in chargers available that work sufficiently for flashing.

Hmmm. I've been using a 10 AMP charger . . . Given the low amperage nature of the flash and how fast it is, and that my battery is fully charged, I can't believe more than that is required. Maybe I should be using one of my emergency jumpers instead with 1,200 AMPS? Or should I get a new charger?

We have seen 10A, wall type plug-in battery chargers be sufficient. Jumper packs cannot hold a stable charge when flashing and we never recommend their use. If flashing completes using a jumper pack then your battery charge from the car is strong enough to hold stable voltage during flashing.
Turning off A/C, heating, command unit, headlights and interior lights etc is always a good idea.
