White Shark Nürburgring
long time no see

Last winter Ive bought a GTR and started to modify the car.
I've installed a custom made 2way suspension and fitted the car with the Black Series 285 and 335 tyres.
For me it was very important to create a setup that I can drive without having issues with scraping the wheelhouses..
The power remains stock because I dont want to have any warranty issues.
With best regards

Your driving skills are pretty damn good, far better than mine. Give it to Misha and see what he thinks as he basically lives at the NBRing.
Guarantee you though, Id be too scared to take any of may past and or present cars on the ring, Id straight up factually crash it and I consider myself a good driver on the day to day context, just not on that level lol.
You would have to be replacing pads, brake rotors and wheels, not to mention very frequent fluid changes given the fact that a regular Ring driver certainly does my wife would Fing crush my ***** to pebbles if she knew the general hobby costs of maintenance for the season. Yikes.
Thanks for sharing though, it was really awesome to watch and I shared your excitement. Keep it up, Ill live my ring dreams vicariously through such vids lol.

couple questions:
1)which steel brake set up did you go with?
2)did you run it at all prior to swapping to the Black Series wheel/tire combo? Curious if you can describe the differences .
Yes, with regular Cup 2 tyres in stock dimensions (275/325) I am 6-7 seconds slower BTG Time.
I decided to go for steel because ceramic pads wear out pretty fast. If you go for aftermarket pads on the ceramic discs the discs wear out very quickly aswell.
With my steel setup I need two set of pads front/rear per season. After one season I change rotors, so after the second set of pads I start fresh again with new discs and pads.
I have to say that I have additional brake cooling installed on the rear. The front is already very good on the PRO. The loufers help to let the hot air from the wheelarch escape and reduce pressure aswell.
In the end its a lot cheaper to go with steel and the performance is better. With the ceramics you think you have a great breaking performance because the first initial bite is quite aggressive. With the Steel Setup its more balanced and organic. I dont know if I described correctly because my english is not the best, sorry

The Black Series has special ceramic discs made by brembo to sustain the heat better and last longer. They call them Dyatom. Very nice but very expensive.
I hope I could answer your question

cheers joe

You can get the endless brakepads in nearly every racing shop or on the internet in europe.
Just make sure that you get the correct pads (ma045b) which are for endurance racing or high performance street vehicle track use.
cheers joe
i will definitely get giro discs here for rotors but im still unsure on what pads ill go with.. trying to have the least amount of brake dust
Ceramics are much better but the replacement costs......
it hurts when u take 2-3 hours to clean the car up and have all 4 wheels spotless and just a 30-40 min drive covers up the wheels in dust.. i bought the car with 9k miles on it so im sure its still factory brake pads..
will look into brake pads by giro
