2016 AMG GT (non S) without Ride Control lowering options
I’ve searched the forum and the internet quite extensively but couldn’t find a definitive answer about lowering options for C190 AMG GT standard suspension (no ride control).
It seems most of the lowering options from KW, Weistec, Renntech, H&R, etc. are all for Ride Control suspension.
Has anyone fitted lowering kits for the non-S AMG GT that doesn’t have Ride Control?

If they are the same, I wonder if the KW HAS can be used for both versions too.
Is Renntech set known for better comfort over say KW or Weistec?

That’s awesome, do I need to buy a Renntech specific coil set for the Multimatic or is it the same kit number as the one for Ride Control.

I went with Renntech, as I believed them to be a bit more plush.

I think you are overthinking this. Wether a shock stiffness is adjustable or not should have no impact on the springs. It's not that there is a height difference between the two.

I don't think I am overthinking this, the Multimatic shock construction look totally different from the Ride Control shocks. It would be quite a situation if I bought the coils and they wouldn't fit the Multimatic DSSV housings!

Edit: NM. Just saw one too. Springs looks the same but I can see this to be an issue.

I find this answer odd, I would assume that they only tested their springs on a GTS when bringing them to market therefore they are only willing to say that's what they will work on. Renntech doesn't even ask which suspension you have and whether you enter that you have a GT or a GTS on their site you get the exact same part number. Did they say what the difference was?

No, it is only for the models that have the electronic damper control. The standard dampers have a different body diameter that makes them not compatible.
I guess no one’s going to try buying them and risk them not being able to fit when Renntech says that theirs fit and AMG17GT has fitted his.

Mystery solved. Renntech adjustable spring kits come with different hardware for Ride Control and Non Ride Control shocks in the one kit. That is why they can be used for Non Ride Control equipped cars while KW and Weistec adjustable spring kits cannot.
Weistec’s explanation of the shock bodies having different diameters is 100% correct.
