Zaino Z-6 and Z-8
I have been using Zaino wax on my black Lexus for a long time and been getting great results.
Been using Z-6 between waxes and it works well but it does not reduce dirt and dust pickup by 60% as advertised on Zaino's web site.
Now anyone have experience with the new Z-8? I am curious if Z-8 which cost twice as much is any different from Z-6.

Z8 seems to be a great "upgrade" to Z6...here are some quick pics from today.

I also ordered the Z8 today. I just bought a 92 400E and plan on claying and detailing. I'll try both, with the Z6 on one side, then Z8 on the other and see what difference there is. It won't be for another week or so.
AMGfan, great looking cars! Very nice shine on the SL, holy cow!

The Z8 had a bigger impact on the SL than the 545i (as expected) and I did notice that the Z8 takes a little more effort to completely remove. On the black finish you can see that it takes a little more buffing than Z6. But overall I think its worth the extra $$$...also it seems to last a little longer than the Z6.

I apply by hand with the applicator that comes with zaino as well. For reducing swirls they sell z-5 designed specifically for that, I think z-5 can be used as a 1st coat then apply z-2 as a sucessive layer.

I finally was able to use the Z-8 this weekend and it does make a difference. A little slicker feeling that the Z-6 and it does improve the clarity of the paint. I only used it as a final coat though, too expensive to use in between coats of Z-2.

Where are you buying the Zaino products?
Can anyone share the website(s) where you are buying the Zaino Products?
Also what products are you using to apply and to polish. I have been using some sonus microfiber, which seem good too.

I have found that Z8 does fill more swirls than Z6. I have also noticed that it seems to continue to look better 24 to 48 hours after application, I was told this is because it continues to cross link for up to 48 hours.

Finally got to do a Z-8 & z-6 comparison this weekend. I did a complete dawn wash and a new coat of z-2 pro first then applied z-8. I did half the hood with z8 on the right side and z6 on the left. In direct sun light, there is a difference between z8 and z6, although I had to look hard z8 does give a deeper gloss to the paint. But the camera couldn't pick up the difference. Also I left the rear passenger side door as is after a coat of z-2 to test the dirt pickup reduction claimed by z-8, if that door shows more dirt then the rest of the car in about a week than z-8 really does reduce dirt pickup as advertised. :v
Overall I feel z8 is worth using, it won't make a day and night difference but the difference is there.
