Where do I buy microfiber towels?

I purchased a couple of microfiber towels a couple of years back and they were NOT cheap. They seem to be of very excellent quality. I have also seen them sold at WalMart, but not sure of their quality.

I would like to get the best quality available, but not spend a fortune. Money is definitely an issue. Anyone have a preferred provider?

Meguiar's sells them. You could get them from a quality auto parts store. MB also sells them, and personally I really like them, but I don't know what your local dealer would charge. I'll look for the part number tomorrow at work and give it to you, just in case you would like to check into it.

Where did you find MB selling microfiber towels. I looked on their site at the collection and didn't see them.

I haven't tried the Costco or Pep Boys towels, but the DF brand works for me.

I used to work in a body shop that was sponsored by a MB dealer. These days I work as a trainer for collision repair.

The MB microfiber towels are part number: A 000 986 06 62. I found out about it from a bulletin about cleaning the dash board on the 171, since it's a material that would snag lint from normal towels. But, microfiber is microfiber and it works great!

Thumbs up Costco!

They work fine, not quite as good as ones I've purchased from a detailing site, but they're about 1/8th the price, so if money is an issue, do the Costco thing.

Are the materials different with the cheaper micro towels? I bought a bunch of them several years ago off the microfiber website and they are still in great shape. Just wondering if most of the towels are of equal quality.

Thanks for the replies so far.

I haven't seen any Microfiber towels in Costco - I guess I will ask next time I am there.

Autopia - I have seen their website. They have a great deal of info. I think that is where I may have ordered my first towels from. Price was the issue here, so I will have to go back to their site and make a comparison to what is now available elsewhere. Seems to me that 3 years ago there was less availability of these towels.

Went to Pakshak.com, and I had a question about availability of Clay Bars (for paint prep) - it doesn't seem that they have much of anything, so I called them yesterday to see if it was just my not navigating their site properly or whatever (they are in Honolulu), but just got an answering machine saying they were out.
