What Products to buy for first time Polish?
Recently i've noticed that there were a lot of "swirl scratches" on my black c230k, n i've been reading up on this forum that i should use sum polishes/swirl removers to get rid of em. Only problem is cause i've never used polish, i got no idea what to use
. I have a 10-12in orbital buffer with some crappy cotton pads, so i'm wondering what pads i should get for best results. I've been hearing a lot of good stuff about Zaino, so can you guys point me to what type of polishes/waxes i should get? I'm thinking of stopping by Pep boys, i hope they carry it, if not can you also point to a place that sells em?
I'm a sort of newbie myself, but I think your orbital buffer won't do much.
You should try investing in a Porter Cable random orbital buffer. You can get it at Lowes for less than a hundred dollars. Plus you'd need proper foam pads for swirl removal, polishing, etc. I have yet to try this on my c280, but I've tried it over my Civic, and it does make a difference. (I also have the craftsman buffer which didn't do much)
It depends on how badly you want those swirls taken off.
If you're keen into detailing, I suggest joining this site.

Good luck in detailing your car. Post some pics if you get a chance to do it.

If I may offer some advice, black paintwork will show evry flaw and is very easily marred, I would suggest you get apro detailer in your area to prep your paint surface so that you can maintain it. I been a detailer since the 50's and trust me a black paint is not something you'd want to practice on
