Which part of the tire do I clean/wax/protect?
1. What do I need to clean and dress my tires and how do I do it? (Basic)
I have read the article on bettercarcare.com and from this, I'm thinking I first wet the tires, scrub them down with carwash, and then apply some kind of tire dressing.
2. What part of the tire do I clean/dress?
I'm worried that if I clean the wrong part, it will damage my tires and cause a dangerous driving situation. What do I do?
Thanks a lot for your help.

Good luck...
Thanks again.
was new to motorcycling, spent the first weekend detailing his bike. Guess
what happened when he gave it a handful of throttle ......after he Armorall-ed
his seat?
Another proud owner washed his bike, wiped it all dry and sped off........and
kept going through the first stop sign, and learning first hand how one should
go slow and pump the brakes to get soap/water from between the brake pucks.
I'm sure there are many more cleaning and detailing cautions out there:
Simple Green on aluminum, Armoral v leather treatment, Windex on tinted
windows, etc etc.
I've seen a decent book out there; look for it at your local library: David
H Jacobs books on detailing autos, engines. Good tips.
