1) I recommend getting a clay magic clay bar from your local autozone. Claying is very easy, just lube the surface well after you wash your car with car wash soap or a quick detail spray(the clay usually comes with lube) and then use minimal pressure on the clay and just rub in a back and forth motion within the 2ft by 2ft section u just sprayed down. After each section i like to fold and work my clay bar to a new fresh section to prevent scratching. If the car is older and has never been clayed I usually fold 2 or 3 times within the section.
2) I would not recommend using the sears buffer, it has too weak of a motor and the pad quality is pretty bad. I would invest in a porter cable 7336SP or a dewalt dw433 (i believe that is the model, not sure though). These are both random orbital buffers with a good heavy duty motor and is effective at removing swirl marks. They cost around 100 dollars and i would get the 6 inch pad kit from www.properautocare.com for the porter cable. This is the best detailing investment I have ever made. Also DACP is a strong polish so it needs to be applied like one. A polish needs to be worked into the paint untill it buffs out (basically keep rubbing the polish into the paint till it has practically dissapeared) I like DACP because it breaks down faster than most other polishes(dissapears at a faster rate). So no need for cure time, this is only with waxes or paint sealants. Also i dont recommend cotton bonnets, they tend to swirl paint. I only use good quality microfiber towels on our paint (Viper and neatitems) you can get them at www.properautocare.com or www.neatitems.com.
3) Meguiars #9 doesnt need a buffer but I usually use one because it goes quicker. If you work in DACP well enough and if u have a light colored car, #9 isnt even needed, especially if you are going the zaino route. I used #9 2.0 on our black car because black tends to show hazing/marring when a polish hasn't been completely broken down(wasn't rubbed into the paint well enough).
Steps 4 and 5 sound great, except ZFX is much easier to use than Z1. Remember not to buff of Z1, just apply Z2 on top of it. And use VERY LITTLE PRODUCT, i can't stress that enough. Just enough to put a thin haze on the car. Wet the applicator with Z6 quick detail spray to make it easier to spread.
Can i buy a special pad for the Sears buffer i'm really on a tight budget right now or i can buy the PC and return it back after i use it(I'll just buy my own pad).
.I like what you did on your Black ML i wanna do that on my black e320 which has a lot of swirls.
Thanks for the tips i'm just gonna try my best to remove all the swirls i can get.One more question How do you apply meguirs #9 do i have to apply a thin coat and cure it and buff it or I need to buff it until it disappeared.TIA
