Best way to clean aluminium??
I'm in the process of tidying up my engine bay. I am struggling to find a way to clean the ally parts, main part being the supercharger that is starting to pit.
Any suggestions?

Polish it
and then keep it polished.

Sure it can be polished
Members even remove it and have it ceramic coated.
If you want to keep it stock looking the link posted also has cleaners.
Or any good aluminum polish and a tooth brush will clean it up.Wash well afterwards. He got his clean.

Flitz makes a spray product called Aluminum Pre-Clean, to clean up aluminum before polishing or putting on a protective coating of sealant. I've used it on an air filter housing. Follow the directions and don't leave it on too long.

I wouldn't use a metal polish to clean it if you can avoid it.
The polish is going to start to brighten the finish, and then it will appear uneven.
I would start off with a good, gentle degreaser and cleaner like P21S Total Autowash.

It will gently remove a lot of the surface contaminants that are making it look dirty and uneven. Just spray it on a COLD or WARM engine, let it sit for 5 minutes and agitate with a brush. I make a special deal about COLD or WARM because a hot engine will only accelerate the cleaner and it can cause much more harm than good.
After agitating with a brush rinse off and you should be good to go.
The metal polish suggestion is good if it is already polished, but if it has its standard aluminum finish, you don't want to change that finish color or texture.

Although I haven't ever used that particular product, and it doesn't specifically say that it was intended for aluminum, I think that what it says its purpose and design is for is correct.
You want something that is going to leave you with as much of a factory fresh finish as possible.
I know that Raceglaze is a UK based company, so you shouldn't have any issues picking up their products. I would recommend calling and speaking with some of their customer service personnel beforehand however. They do offer detailing and valeting services, so they should have someone that is qualified to know exactly what you are dealing with and will know if that is the best product for you.
Remember that in cases like this, the more that you know, the better. So give them a call and talk to their people and make sure that is exactly the product that you are looking for and exactly how it is supposed to be used. Other than that, you should be good to go.
