H2O spots on glass
Since I've had my car, there are horrilbe water spots on the glass, especailly on the pano roof (which is about 1/2 the Coupe), and are most noticable on the tinted/blacked out parts. I have tried-vinegar, all kinds of glass cleaners, and clay all with zero effect. The only mild success I've had is with Zymol cleaner wax, but it would take hours upon hours to do it because it takes many applications.
I checked on Autopia, and there were about 1/2 a dozen products people swore by, and, of course, were cursed in the next post as useless. So I thought I'd see what the opinions were here on Mercedes glass. Some of the products recommended were #0000 steel wool & glass cleaner, duragloss, diamondrite, Zaino, etc. Anyone have anything that will definitely work on MB glass? TIA
Well, now I'm obsessed with detailing (thanks Ali)

Yes, get Zaino glass polish Z12, should take care of your problem.

Is Z12 an abrasive? I have some nasty water spots on the tint on my boat window. I've tried vinegar but i'm afraid to use anything like LimeAway or an abrasive. It sounds like Z12 is pretty good.
Thanks.
Thanks. I guess if all else fails, I could give it a shot.

The Z12 is pretty abrasive (think SoftScrub), and there are two warings on it. Don't use on tint, and don't use on plastic windows. But if it's on a boat, I assume that either it's a) tint sandwiched between two layers of clear glass, or b) lexan? If it's real glass with internal tint, you might be ok. If it's lexan, try a motorcycle shop and get what they recommend for polishing windsheilds & visors. I use to work on a dive boat, and we had both.

I tinted the original window with automotive tint. It's on the outside. If the Z12 makes it worse, I could always have it re-tinted at the end of the season. I think it cost me $100. Not bad for a 10 year old tint job!
You should try Plexus and see if it solves your problem. It's made for plastic windows and the like (great for headlights and taillights). It's not abrasive...just a thought before going to Z12.
