Window tint question
I just tinted the windows on my car. I noticed some foggy areas on the windows. Looks sort of like a wet spot. Is this the tint still drying? I was also told not to open the windows for 3-5 days. This was a redo because I found some bubbles on my last tint job.

What you see is moisture. I will go away in 3-5 days and depending on the window film you purchased, I have seen some take up to 2 weeks. This is due to the thickness of the material. What brand of film did you go with?

I actually have no idea what kind of tint it is. All I know is that my dealer charged me $395 and it has a year warranty. The dealer uses the same guy for all of its cars. I wanted to go with whoever the dealer used. You were right, they were wet spots and they have now disappeared.

Glad to hear they went away. As for the charge for the tint... that is very expensive! I own two shops here in Houston, Texas (ranked #5 in the country by volume) and $200.00 film will include a lifetime warranty.

Hell, I even charge $59.00 here with a lifetime warranty. But again there are different material... plastic dyed film, sputtered film, and ceramic. Hell, ceramic film is $500.00!

$395!? Damn, you got screwed. My dealer wants $195 and uses an aftermarket tint guy anyway. I went to a place here with a good rep and got it done dark as is legal here in Texas for $130 with a lifetime warranty.

I paid 85 dollars but my tint was 35 i think. It was light. It only blocks 45 percent heat. It comes with a lifetime warranty and is the place the benz dealer sends all their tinting projects to.
