For those with a Porter Cable

1) What PADS do you use?
2) Why?
3) Where do you purchase them?

hey there, i think i got your email... I use the lake country foam pads found at www.properautocare.com. I have 2 white mild polishing pads (used for 3M SMR, megs #9 2.0, klasse AIO, etc.), 2 yellow cutting pads for swirl marks and other paint defects (used with Meguiars DACP, 3M SMR, 3M FI2, etc..), 1 wool leveling pad for removing harsh water marks and heavy swirls; however, this pad will leave finer swirls behind. You can use a different combination of pads with compounds depending on how aggressive you want to go on the paint. Hope that helps.

I just ordered the Lake County pads from Topoftheline.com

$45 for 6 pads, and I got 2 yellow, 2 white, and 2 black. And of course, like a good Autopian, I got my PC from Coastal Tool.

Don't have them yet, so I can't tell you how I like them, but they seem to be pretty popular on Autopia.

BTW-apparently, Autopia was hacked and really messed up!

Well its up to you. Some people say they are really good, I am just sticking to the regular foam pads from lake country.

u can order them online too. did u check www.coastaltool.com ? They have actually catered to people like us and offer their machine with a velcro-backing plate (only needed for buffing pads, etc.) for free!
