Nauseating Interior Smell after a few years
Hi there fellow MB lovers and drivers, I have an issue with weird nauseating smell from the interior of both my C250 AvantGarde (2012 model, 2011 make) and SLK 250.
I have been looking for similar thread but I can't find the one exactly like mine. There was no weird smell when I bought them, however now it's coming up to their 4th and 5th year in my hands, the interior starts to smell weird. Some of my friends say it's from the MB-Tex, but I don't believe them.
The smell is not similar to anything but it is nauseating, one of my friend said it's like a dog urine smell, to a degree yeah but not exactly.
Do any of you have similar issue? It's happening on both of my cars, worse inside the C250.

My '99 SL has an interesting aroma/smell similar to what a box of Crayola Crayons smell like. I've been told it's the fine MB plastic in the interior disintegrating. If it bothers you as much as it sounds like, I only know of one way to get rid of virtually any aroma; that's using an Ozone Generator running in the interior for 1/2 a day or so. This is the technology that used car sellers and dealer sales use to make 'smoking' cars into 'non-smoking' cars. Good luck-

I've got the burnt crayon smell in my 2009, dissipated quite a bit after a few days as I have the sunroof open quite a bit. Or, maybe I just got used to it. I've been told it's the sound deadening off-gassing.

My Benz still smells great (kept closed up and rarely driven) but years ago I had an Acura RL that did a weird smell thing.....the longer you drove it, the more it smelled like *** inside. And no I was not farting LOL. It was like the driver seat was releasing something as it heated up, or something
