socal is the capital of car washes so there's got to be tons of detailing shops! my dealer here has detailing services for like $150 so it's not too bad.

i got no problem using them b/c if they're competent, they do a very good job and clean stuff that i'd never even think of cleaning. but i've never used them...

not sure exactly where jam is in, la somewhere, but san diego is not really convenient... maybe a 2 hour drive.

james, if u want me to set up something with him just PM me and I will contact him. He uses klasse and zaino and does an awesome job with scratches etc. He does his cars under 1000 watt halogen lights to see the imperfections .

I detailed cars for Beverly Hills Porsche when I was in college, so I know a good job when I see one, and would prefer nothing done vs. a half-assed job. I tried a lot of guys once, and then for a few years I had a guy who came to my house who was very good, but he moved out of state. I have done it myself for the last 2 years, but now that I'm older it takes me the whole weekend and I hurt for a few days. I have no problem paying a couple hundred dollars to get my car in great shape so all I have to do is apply an easy coat of Zaino or whatever once every month or two. Can anybody suggest someone? Oh, and my car is black!

Yep he would gladly do that stuff for you, swirl remove, put layers on zaino on the car etc. He has tons of zaino on his car. Lemme check with him, haven't spoke to him in a week. I'll notify u via PM.

*Good prices, not the best best best job...but good regardless. Details my fathers ML500

Steve's Detailing

Dont take the E55 to this "VIP Detailing" place. I know this area, its real ghetto. I dont even drive through there with my E 320 let alone leave it there in someone else's care. I hope where ur talking about is where im thinking about, cuz if it isnt, disregard this post.

Black on Black C Coupe 230 ,6sp, C5-C7-Illum Sills, Cd
Try this!!!

How about calling a Hot Rod Shop they always know the best painters and detailers! Klasse is one of the best to make your car shine if you do it on your own!
Also it really takes a pro to do black and they are far and few around. If your in SF I can give you a shop. My car was done by the dealer and it has cob webs and not done properly. Also It was detailed again yesterday and its worse than the first time. But being my father specializes in Black and was a hot rod painter>He has a friend that he says is the best in the bay area. By next week I will know!!! Shine and Smile....Yvette
