How-to De-badge my 99 E320

How-to De-badge my 99 E320
How can I do it without damaging anything? Will the paint underneath the letter/numbers be a different shade of black because it hasnt been exposed to the sun or anything else for years? Does it need to be professionally done?

To remove the E320..Use a piece of Fishing line/ weed edger line/Dental floss..to lift the letters then use a glue remover like 3m to clean up the glue left on the paint....
Then You MIGHT have a shadow from the letters depending how faded the paint is...TRY Rubbing compound to help

A few comments:
Dental floss... fishing line and weed wacker line is too thick.
yes you may have a shadow, but the sun will probably fade it out with time.
I believe you have clear coat... grinding down the clear will likely do nothing except the rubbng compound will help prematurely wear out your clearcoat.

i dont know about all that dental floss and wd-40. I did mine with a blow dryer. All you have to do is heat them badges up and just work them around with your fingers untill it comes off. then keep rubbing the extra glue while still heating and it comes off ez! I dont think you will have any real noticable if any fadding issues because it looks to me like all your vehicles are still new enough that the paint should still look great.
