Detergents:
Washing-up liquids should not be used on a regular basis for vehicles bodywork as their concentrated detergent soaps and usually high sodium / high alkaline (pH 8.0) content will emulsify, breakdown and leach out oils naturally found in your paint, and also any oils you have applied in the way of a polish or glaze.

Generally avoid the use of household cleaning products for automotive detailing as they are formulated for an entirely different type of cleaning.

“Your car surface and the dirt that gets on it are a lot different from the food soils and dishes that dishwashing liquids clean effectively. We don't recommend them for cleaning your car”. Proctor and Gamble

When you say buy, you probably mean locally, like Pepboys or something. You can try Meguiar's.

I usually do the whole Zaino thing, which you can order. But right now, I'm looking into other products.

Hope this helps

I see you are from New Jersey. If you ordered the soap today before 3pm (e.s.t.)from Autopia, and used U.S.P.S Priority for the shipping. You will get your package on Wednesday.
Believe me I live in Massachusetts. I know how long it takes.

I'd highly recommend Eagle One Wet Car Wash, which is available locally at any major chain store. I got mine for $4.99 for a gallon at my local Pep Boys. You simply can't beat this stuff! It produces mounds of suds!!!

My other favorite is Meguiar's Gold Class, which is available at Target for about ten dollars a gallon. It leaves a nice sparkling finish and definately improves the gloss.

Hope this helps and happy washing!

I have had very good results with Zymol Clear auto bath. Very good at providing a nice barrier to avoid scratching while allowing for decent cleaning of the vehicle.
