K&N filters are available for V6 E320 CDI equipped cars and smaller E220 CDI equipped cars.
I'm afraid that as the I6 is phased out, its now or never, aftermarket air filters may never become available.

Ken, I did just that, both Green and K&N said they have no plans!
The I-6 while IMHO the better engine is going to be the red headed step child, I'm afraid! At least RennTech did a tune for it! H-Town, I ran it with the covers off, and it was as loud as the old 300D! I'll keep the covers on.. it's not like this engine runs hot or anything!

on edit: You can send aFe the measurements of the stock filter and they can cross reference their products from their racing applications. It may not be a perfect fit (length comes to mind), but they should have something that will work.

Everything runs on vacume and there is about two feet on either side of just empty space.
Lots of places to work around and get dirty. Don't see that much in this car.
