Ok so I have been searching the net and eBay for diesel fuel system cleaners... there are a lot out there, which ones do you guys recommend or have experience with?

Thanks.

I use a bit of Diesel Kleen with every fill up. I have also tried Red Line and the stuff that is made by the same company as Diesel Purge.

I find that Sunoco Gold Diesel is very good for the engine. More power. More quiet.

I was under same impression until recently. First of all, you have to find gas station which it is not used by big tracks etc. In last month or two, I am using Shell from new gas station just opened near my place. I am using Shell gas (V-power bla bla ). I can make 7.0l/100 km on highway and ~8.0l/100km combine. With Sunoco, I can get less but the reason why I have changed Sunoco to Shell was related to new gas station and more honest approach (read: I believe they are not making cocktail water and gas to bust profit )

Its the other way around, you want to use stations that have LOTS of truck traffic. The higher the traffic the fresher the fuel and the less chance it will have contaminants like water.

A lot of traffic = easier mix water and diesel.

In my view - it's not important what color is car as long as catch mouse (read: as long as car give you good performance, don't fix it

Good quote from the late great Chairman Deng Sui Ping (brother of Chairman Mills)!

Thats fine, you can use diesel that sits for a week+ at car stations and I'll stick to the truck stops that get fresh fuel from the refinery daily.

Just because the biodiesel guys claim their favorite product cleans out fuel systems doesn't mean there's a big need out there to clean up fuel systems.

In any event, so what if there's some gunk somewhere---it doesn't get through a good fuel filter. If there's something past the fuel filter, it's defective fuel and cleaner isn't the ultimate solution. Defective fuel is pretty rare.

"Liquid solutions" are seldom worth anything when there is a problem and surely not either when there really isn't. Cheap solutions are more often than not fantasy quests.
