That can only means my diesels will gain high value.
The 60 mpg luxury sedans don't have much competition anyway.
Who check the dealerships lately?
I have seen diesels there before, so are they still there, or gone?
The article is month old, so how-come nobody is talking about it?

I doubt it will. )).
I think MB is just afraid to get sued. BMW bring 5 series diesels next month. X3 and X5 are out there. Jags also available. Audi - I'm sure they will get here back with new models, but they start selling 15s after a fix.

Not sure if I'm appalled that our government forces us to burn food corn fuel in our tanks or if I'm floored that engineers can't design an engine that will be happy with it. Same goes for small gasoline engines: Why should the manufacturers of (chain saw/lawn mover/leaf blower/snowmobile) whatever two stroke or 4 stroke need to recommend ethanol free fuel so the carbs don't get gummed up and the rubber parts don't rot? Wouldn't it make sense to design around what fuel will be used?
WTF?

It is some manufacturers.
My Ford runs on B20 just fine and I could not notice mpg change.
I filled up B20 to 320 Bluetec with no ill effect, but it was always mixed with normal diesel.
Than I have 14 years old Honda generator that runs on ethanol blend for years and never open the service panel. I only make sure to run carburetor dry before putting it for longer storage.
Oil industry is the strongest power in this World. They choose our Presidents, so even some state can make requests on small adjustments - there is not much even the most powerful people can do.

Really ? Did they invent CARB in the wonderful state of Ca? Did they mandate the ethanol in gas? Did they come up with all the restrictive regulations for petro burning engines? Do they ask the states to tax the pants of petro products? The strongest power are the globalists and the billionaires supporting it all, Oil industry is there to be blamed for all the problems.

So now BMW is giving up too.
https://www.extremetech.com/extreme/277069-bmw-sounds-taps-for-doktor-diesel-in-the-us

its sad because this is all misinformation and fake news and politics.

Wall Street Journal reported when the VW thing first broke that USA emissions requirements for diesels are 100 times more stringent than for pickup trucks.

pickup trucks, of course, are pretty much politically exempt from anything and everything.

2019 is seeing even more diesels introduced for pickups.
