Injector Line fittings

Trying to find out if there are any seals on the injector lines were they connect to the fuel block next to the engine
Or is it a compression fitting a couple are weeping a bit.

Compression fitting. Take them apart, observe for scratches, clean very well and reassemble. I like to finger-tight them, then wiggle a bit to make sure it sits where suppose to and then torque.
Last resort can be Teflon dope from Home Depot.

Thanks for your reply. I assume you should take off intake to do this repair for easiest access,
also can you tell me what is wrench size is needed, and if i take manifold off is a new gasket recommended.

Absolutely yes on new gasket....if it’s off remove flapper plates and clean that gunk out! I’d get new gaskets for “up” pipe too, little triangle gaskets.

You did not say what engine is it, but all diesels I had have injectors easy reachable once you take the covers off.
I see if the forum will allow me to attach picture of OM642 engine.
Nope, the pictures downloaded, but did not attach, getting lost in forum infinity.

When Photobucket pulled their hostage-taking move 2-1/2 years ago, I was too pissed to give them a dime. Whereas if they'd been reasonable, I'd have gladly thrown them $20-$30 a year for their service.
A year later, a gentleman on a forum showed me how to post pics without PB. Couldn't believe how easy it was.

It was, but for some time the forum will not take my pictures.
All the download goes per the manual, I see the picture loading and showing on attachment page, but then when I click "Upload" it all vanish.
Coming to original poster, the engine is OM606 and you can find parts catalog on https://www.ilcats.ru/mercedes/

Open the page an in right hand upper corner you will notice British flag.
That will switch the page to English English
Enter your VIN and than you can scroll EPC for exact fit for your car.

So i tighten injector fittings down today but in doing so a fuel line said good bye Have a set on there way
plastic ones of course all look like they are original 241,000 miles to date. So will replace them all
So whats the secret if any to get the air out of the lines which seem to be a common issue on this repair.

If anything like my tractor I just loosen connections and crank for say 30 seconds, tighten and it fires right up. My kid has run it out of diesel enough times now it’s a 10 minute job and THE ONLY way it will start again lol

The 606 engine has a maze of plastic tubings, where not only orings, but also plastic seats age and then you have oring on the back of SOV and then on prefilter.
Once you get it all replaced and do a good job, you should not see air in fuel .... although at 20 years the hoses between IP and firewall might be aged.
