You should take it to the dealer ASAP.
For curios people, can you list the codes?

I know that it has some level of wiring issue - when I bought it there was an exhaust leak that melted a few things - and when I dropped it off for the AEM, I was sporting a 14E300 which is caused by the O2 sensor heater only getting around 8.6 volts due to a grounding issue somewhere in the connection back to the ECU. The day I picked it up after the AEM it was giving me a 121500 for the M55 shorted to ground. They put a new swirl motor on and I didn't have that code before they touched it. The DPF codes that popped up recently are the trifecta of 15FD00, 15FF00, and 129700. That's lower limit not reached, signal voltage too low, and DPF defective.
My guess is that they're going to want to charge me a king's ransom to run down wiring issues. I had to put a new clutch in the wife's car but now that I have that wrapped up I was going to get in there and start probing around for shorts or other problems. A really good tech who's a friend of mine recommended pulling the connectors and applying some Stabilant so that's also on the menu.
But... If someone else is getting similar issues maybe it is a warranty-covered issue so I might try to find a different dealer.

Yup. I never saw the code, they just didn’t deliver the car when promised, when I didn’t get the call, I figured they had trouble with it. I heard about a week later that it was done after they needed some more parts, the more parts turned out to be this. So I wouldn’t have known if it would have gone into limp mode like yours. After I got it back and driving 160 miles, I got a code again. I plugged in my blue driver diagnosis iPhone doohickey and it came back No x sensor was below level. I wasn’t too worried about that, but nevertheless, knowing that would be covered, I called it in, and strangely, the light turned off after another hundred miles. I’m 700 miles since the campaign and getting about 40 mpg with no CEL. So far it seems I’m good. I do believe your issue should be covered as part of the campaign.

I feel your pain about distrusting dealers.
I have 2 in the valley I live, but diesels sedans in Las Vegas are very rare, so not only SA are dummies about them, but doing 4AMEs on Bluetecs - each of them show lack of job ethics.
Still your case is not giving you much choice, than dealer's help. Good luck.

Wow 40 mpg is really good. Is that indicated or measured? I ask because if my dash says 40 it ends up being right around 32 - but that could just be my car.

yeah that’s indicated. I haven’t actually measured this car that closely though. My tank gets just over 600 miles, haven’t done the math on that. My Vdub diesel definitely gets 40 plus, that’s a 4 banger, so I’d imagine this v6 isn’t as efficient

My dash v/s hand mpg calculator is usually within 1, or 2 mpg, what makes it like 3-5% off.
I do/did own several vehicles with I4 and V6 engines.
When V6 gives very nice low-end torque, on the average it consumes 30% more fuel for the same job.
I am not talking about using the higher HP , what obviously drops mpg quite drastically.
I drove Sprinters 95% on freeways at the same speeds and the 30% difference is pretty obvious.

Yeah, that said, I believe I have an 18 gallon tank so that would put me around 33 mpg for a typical tank, I got around 650 plus on this tank so I did probably actually get about 38-39 on this tank, which makes sense seeing as it was mostly highway driving

DPF is definitely covered by AEM warranty and regardless, the settlement says that any troubleshooting after AEM is free of charge, even if the repair is not covered.

I need to swap out the O2 sensor next and then the only code will be for the M55 motor... I kind of suspect they may have put the wrong one on. I made that mistake once before - there are a couple different PNs that are indicated for this year and the first I put on gave me the same code - short to ground.

Yup., got 4th check last week after filling Sept 25. . They seem to send the checks at the end of the month, so if you are waiting, you have another month. Did you confirm with Shelby that application is in full order?

Claims filing in USA is extended to the end of the year and I got a letter from law office, that MB USA promised they will have all the parts before that.
I open requirement at my dealer in June and they had parts available at the end of July. When I believe I was the only MB owner in whole Las Vegas doing AEM on sedan (more Bluetec Sprinters here), they got the parts after some wait just fine.

Online claim
How to file online now? Just finished my aem and no longer see the option to file online now on mbbluetecsettlement.com. Don't want to miss out before the deadline at the end of the month. Best way to file right now?

I had to call the number on the settlement website to get an extension for filing until 12/31/22 because the AEM wasn't available by the 10/1/22 deadline. My ML is still be worked on today so I haven't filed yet, hoping it works out the way they've said. Good Luck.

Just bought a used 2011 R350 Blutec.
Is it to late to get anything done from the recall? Trying to understand what the process is but nothing on the first few or last pages that I can figure out.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, thanks.

The benefit is the AEM comes with an extended warranty on mostly all emission parts. You can see what was included in AEM and what the warranty covers for the 2011 R350 https://bluetecupdate.mbusa.com/cont...ED%20(002).pdf
Good luck!

Check above the status and if qualified - call you dealer to schedule an appointment
AEM has no expiration date, when claim failing is extended till the end of this month.

Are there any downsides to the AEM? I read some say it makes the vehicle slower because it is more restrictive? But others report good results with better MPG. Just want to understand if there are any downsides.
Thanks!

But than you can fall asleep at the tailpipe and still weak up. (Don't try it !!)
Follow the links to find what group your vehicle falls under and what you will get. 1st of my Sprinter got only new Nox sensor and computer flash. That's it. Sedan did get $8k job, that include new DPF.

My experience is a bit different:
DEF usage has gone down about 10 to 20%. Usually I go through the 2.5 gallon DEF about every 10K miles or so. Sometimes, I used to add before reaching 10K miles. Now if I try to pour the whole thing, it spills over at 10K interval.
Also the turbo lag is less. Not sure if anything to do with AEM but Mrs. MellonC (who really knows nothing about cars) asks me if I did a mod to make the car faster (mind you, she doesn't do things like 0 to 60). she just notices the reduction in delay when trying to beat the next car at the school pick up line. My butt dynamometer tells me the same. Finally, my mpg is slightly down. I'm not talking much - less 1 mpg difference over 5000 miles (we don't ever reset our ODO - law of large numbers)

If you drive your car gently, the computer will make fast gear shifting without much acceleration between.
AEM reset the computer, so for some time the car will react the way factory engineers set the default. With time it will get back to slow response, unless you start doing "Italian tuneups" like I do.
