2014 E250 Code P205B Temp Sensor
be covered under EPA warranty?
Thanks for any info.

It might be and better be as from what I hear MB don't sell small parts for DEF tank and you have to buy whole unit for hefty $$$.
That might also require SCN coding.
I did read the emission warranty that came with my car. According to what I’ve read the temperature/ level sensor is covered. Will see what dealer says.
The service advisor said my MB extended warranty covered the repair. I will double-check that on Monday.

When you pick the car, can you get more info about that extended warranty?
To my knowledge sender unit is separate from the tank, so what is the reason for replacing the tank?
They replaced just the internal sensor and preheater found inside the DEF tank. Part # 212-471-05-75.
Not sure why emsissions would not cover this, I read the warranty that came with the car and the temp sensor is called out as covered.
When I scanned the car with my icarsoft I got code P205B. The dealer came up with code 205B98.
Let hope the new parts have been improved over the failed parts.

OP: Did you see what the price listed for the parts was? Where are you located (cold climate?)
I am located in KY. We have some cold winters however I don't drive the car all the time during the winter, I also have an older 4runner that I drive.
Not sure but I don't think the repair can be made from the topside. I think the tank has to be dropped down to access the heating element and sensor.
