OM642 mystery oil leak near fuel injectors

I have mystery oil leak near fuel injectors.
The leak is not from intake. Area around injector hole seems to be dry.
Any clue where the oil is coming from? It is possible the oil is leaking through the screws? They seems to be tight.

This looks like oil or diesel who could run down the valley for long distance.
Clean it up and line the area with paper towel to observe.

That's exactly what I did today. I put paper towel, hopefully this will help to locate the source. I'll report back in few days. The liquid was black and it looks like engine oil. I cleaned the area two weeks ago, I'm not sure whether diesel can change color to dark black in two weeks. BTW Fuel injector return line was dry and clean. No leak from there.

Maybe oil leaking from the air box connection? There is typically a crap ton of oil vapor in the intake systems.

It is not from intake air box. First I thought it was from there, but everything around intake is dry. I also have oil catch can installed so oil vapor is minimal.

Looks like the leak is really coming from the screw. Is there a way how to fix it without removing valve cover? Maybe I can put silicone on last tvo threads on the screw right under the screw head?

I would remove the bolt, clean it and the screw hole and put a little RTV on it then reassemble. Its not structural so it should be okay.

RTV would take couple days to dry, when Teflon dope will hold (or not) instantly.
