Hello everyone. Recently picked up a 2010 E350C for my wife. Car is spectacular. I used to have a CLK500 which I loved, so driving this car brings back some memories. I was wondering if anyone has swapped out the hockey stick LED DRLs to the new straight line DRLs. Seems like I would need the LED fixture as well as the black plastic shroud that sits in the bumper. Does anyone have the part numbers for these pieces? Also, are there any other parts needed? Is the newer LED a direct plug in? Has anyone attempted this swap? Just for reference, I have linked my current DRL (first photo) and the one Id like to replace it with (second photo). It seems as though both bumpers are identical. Thanks in advance!

I'm not an expert but if the 2 models share the same front bumper I don't see why you can't swap them. As for part # you can try www.parts.com

Also have the 2010 550 with hockey sticks. Has anybody successfully upgraded to stock straight led's? Part #? Checked with local dealer and was told it could not be done to different wiring on 2012/13 models.

For what its worth...I love the hockey sticks. Probably a case of the grass always appearing greener on the other side. While the hockey sticks might not appeal to you, the point I guess is that it DEFINITELY does not take away from the car in any regard.

If upgrading from the two round fog & DRL lights you will need to refresh the front SAM and code 240 to get that feature.

To be clear you had the "hockey stick" LED that would dim when the headlights were on and now you have the straight LEDs which will not dim and you used code 240?

Are the part numbers
204-906-89-00
204-906-90-00

Not sure what's going on here and will have to defer to someone that has done the identical conversion. I am currently converting from the round DRL/Fog combination to the above part numbers.

BTW it may help if you post what car/model you have

I've also upgraded from hockey sticks drl's to straight led drl's.
And after that they won't dim at night.
Have used the search function but can't find anything with a solution.
Anyone that know how to ?
