Replacement Lug Bolts

I need some black lug bolts for my 2012 Coupe and these McGard bolts are the best I could find.

http://shop.mcgard.com/products/auto...ch?sku=68174BK

The problem is that the specifications are for replacement of part no. 000-990-4907 and I have been told that the lug bolts for the 2012 E550 coupe are part no. 000-990-3807. Can anyone tell me the proper part no. for our lug bolts and/or whether the McGard bolts will work??

I tried powdercoating and the coat peeled the first time the wheels were changed. The McGard are the only bolts that I have found that have wheel locks and guaranteed life-time finish. I appreciate any help you can give me.

I have a 2013 E350 cab with the Appearance package which included the AMG wheels 18 inch wheels.
Purchased the following after speaking with McGard. Fits perfectly.

Thanks Dudley, glad to hear that they fit and you are happy with the wheel locks.

I also took some time to go into the local MB parts and they confirmed that the part number was approved for my car.

Be careful this type of McGard wheel locks (the one which has those "irregular" pattern on the wheel lock bolts), I have exactly the same type on my BMW a few weeks ago. Now, I removed all of them to avoid future headache.

If you over torqued those bolts, once you tried to remove them with the wheel lock key, the teeth inside the wheel lock key would tear off easily.

Of course, you can buy a replacement key from McGuad but when those broken pieces of the teeth from the wheel key stuck inside the grove of the wheel bolt, you will need to pay someone to remove the bolt. Of course, they may damage or scratch your wheel during the bolt removal (they will guarantee tell you to do this before they take out the damaged wheel lock).

Think about it before you pick those wheel locks.

If you are looking for just only black color bolts, buy some decent ones. I ordered some Macht Schnell bolts for the replacement of the BMW black color bolts.

Oh, then good luck.

Buy a spare key if you can. Make sure use only hand tools to remove, install and hand-torque the wheel bolts.

The removal of the damaged wheel lock already scratched one of my rim.

I'm not sure where you are located but I was able to get a set of all black wheel locks where the key is an actual socket vs a groove or cutout in the bolt... Not sure as to the brand name of the locks as I got them where I purchased my wheels but they are great and the finish on them is too notch... I'll post pics shortly so you can get an idea

I got my "FREE" McGuard wheel lock sets from the BMW dealership back in 2008. I believe they were the old style type. The socket one with the teeth around the inside edge of the wheel lock key should be better.
