At low speeds, less than 15mph, I hear clunking noise, sounds like a bad balljoint?

At low speeds, less than 15mph, I hear clunking noise, sounds like a bad ball joint? Can anyone confirm that these cars have an issue with ball joints? Any wild guess what It might be? My car has only 32k miles. 2010 e-350 coupe. I hear it a lot more when going up on an incline on my long driveway at 5mph, I can confirm that its coming from the front drivers side suspension area.

having the same "crick crick" noise from front suspension area.
specially driving up and down on driveway, low speed bumps... and even when braking with some force and car moves forward.. some "crick" from the suspension is heard.
Taking the car in for inspection hopefully in the next few days.
Time to use my warranty.

took my car in to Fletcher Jones Ontario CA
My service advisor is Mike Doehla
they replaced the lower strut rod bushings for the suspension noise under warranty.
I was able to duplicate the noise with a master tech riding with me.
He was surprised to hear about the noise but they took care of it. I will pick up the car later today.

I replaced those last week but that didn't fix my noise problem. I'm starting to think my strut might be bad. I already took my strut out but didn't notice anything. I then took the spring off and bought a new bearing that sits on top of the spring. Still no signs of that dumb noise described exactly how topgun32 has.

WOOW Thank you sir!! That's exactly what I've been looking for. I'm pretty sure now that it HAS TO BE the struts! I had no idea there was a bulletin for the struts. I just couldn't believe that the struts would go bad at 32k miles. I even took the spring off the strut and compressed it by hand and didn't feel anything.

ya i agree , its a POS to have failed struts with 30k miles on them
now go tell them replace under warranty , if you have 2010 E350 Coupe you still have some no ?
Or just install some coilovers if you already there
Now look again into list i provided you before
Trust me if you fix all these below your front suspension will be just fine
This what fixed my all front suspension issues with less then 30k miles
-----------------------------------------
Shock absorbers 2 204-323-30-00 waranty
Dust cap 2 204-323-04-38 waranty
Hydromount 2 204-333-11-14 waranty
Elastomeric cap 4 211-333-06-97 waranty
Bront bearing adjustment both sides DIY
Hood mounts lubed DIY
---------------------------------------

yes i have AMG pkg with Sport Suspension
321 321 Appearance Package: 18" AMG twin 6-s $1,950
409 : Multi-Contour Seats Front
486 : Sport Suspension
75V : Tire Rating
786 : 18" AMG 6-twin-spoke Wheel
950 : Sportline Package
as we found out
Sport pkg starts from 204 ( 204-323-30-00 )
Non Sport pkg starts from 207 ( 207-323-30-00 )
About missing Elastomeric caps ... what is your delivery date ? My is 11.24.2009 , you can run Datacard to check it
BMW never used any of these Elastomeric caps ( well i can only comment up to 2010 year , the models which i had )
Maybe MB added them somewhere in 2009/2010 ? dunno
