SPOTTED: Just saw a Coupe/Cab

These threads used to be kind of fun. They work best where a forum is more localized, but who cares! I feel like our cars are semi-rare enough that when i see one, I always check it out.

Just spotted a new, paper-plates, E550 Cab in Houston this morning on BW8. Looked reaaaal nice!

The rarity of the car is one of the reasons I like it so much. So boring seeing legions of black 328 or 335 BMWs or Mercedes 4 door E350s sedans on the road. I understand the reason why most people choose them, but where is everyone's sense of individuality?

Agreed, not your everyday 3 or 5 series. Any changes from 2014? By the way, this is my car- a new '14- E550. Managed to rack up a whole 1200 miles since October, but spring is coming!

Did you use your coupe in the snow this year? How did it do?

I left my Cabriolet in the garage with any hint of snow. I backed it out on to an icy driveway and needed to use sand to get it back in!

Beautiful, beautiful car. I love my coupe, and I'd choose it again. The cabs look so nice, and make me miss a convertible!

Thanks- I looked at about 3 loaded black cars, but our Cayenne is black, and just spent 5 years with a black BMW 535, so really needed a little less fussy color. This one came along with the perfect options- LED lights, sport package, lane assist, etc...By far, its the best convertible on the market. With Aircap and Airscarf you can really enjoy open air motoring. Its very quiet with the top closed. And, oh that bi-turbo V8.

They have a E400 Coupe 4Matic out now, which would be great for the Northeast. Coupe is very cool. Enjoy it.

Only drove it the day after all the snow storms. Not when the roads weren't plowed or sanded yet. I did drive it through some towns where they do a lousy job of clearing the streets and the car handled well on packed snow and icy roads. Just put it in manual mode with no complaints.

Only change is the power retractable side mirrors are now standard.

Thanks- and I think I can live without the power folding mirrors.
