E350 dyno day w/ video

Only modification was a flash and 3 gallons of 101 octane to a tank of 91.

Keep on mind this car has 302 hp from factory and with the parasitic draw of the auto 7spd tranny youre looking at 20% hp loss. So if you multiply the results of todays dyno you would get 333×1.2=~400hp....which seems insane. Maybe im wrong and its 302rwhp from factory.

Wish this guy was better at getting pulls on this car but he couldnt figure out the transmission i guess.

Threw this in for kicks. 1 layer sealant 2 layers p21s 100% carnauba.

Which tune did you go with? Did you get dyno results before tune? From your Dyno results 302 is actually the Torque which is in FT-LBS, and the Wheel Horsepower is 333 Horsepower which would yield approx 400 HP at the Crank.

The Factory rated HP of 302 is at the crank so assuming that was the pre-tune figure getting about 100HP extra is very good!

How does the car perform post-tune?

Also - the wheels on your car look awesome. What brand / size are the rims? What size tires did you go with?

Thanks ffr2014!

The car performs really well post tune and racked the same at wheel hp as a stock e550 which was dynod and the results posted here.

I just sealed and waxed the car so i also think that helps the appearance.

Beautiful!

I'll be upgrading / up-sizing my wheels & tires soon.

Here's my dyno before and after (OE Tuning) on E550 Coupe:
369 HP to 430 HP
445 FT-LBS to 555 FT-LBS
At Wheel!

I'm thinking of upgrading to 19" but definitely like the look of 20" wheels. How is the ride quality going from stock (I assume 18") to the 20" wheels and tires? Is your suspension modified?

Awe inspiring numbers ! These cars are quite under rated !

Definitley a good looking car whivh ould benifit from some nice wheels.

I love the concave look because it works so well with the rear quarter panels lines. Makes the car seem wider and sportier.

I assumed this was going to be a test run to see how the car shifted and instead it turned out to be a short but glorious run. Some of the other runs were in the triple digits, but this was the one which put down the best numbers. Then the car started to get heat soaked and it was already hot and humid.

Nice!

Should have had a big fan in front of your car to push air through radiator and intercoolers.

Do you have any other dyno curves from your car? The max numbers you are being quoted is from the big blip at the end of the run after that dip in power which is most likely not real. Even if it was real that is a horrible curve to have that dip and sudden spike. The real HP numbers seem to be about 260HP at the wheel and 230 lb-ft of torque on the normal part of the curve before the error spike. Which seem like reasonable numbers for the NA 3.5L.

Hey Iman86. Those are some nice numbers. If you do not mind sharing; what flash do you have with the car? Also, is the tune that you have dyno tuned or is this a flash from one of the many performance vendors on this forum and you threw it on the dyno to have the numbers read? I have not been following any of your threads (if you have any at all) so if this has been answered i do apologize ahead of time. I only ask because i have a Eurocharge tune on my 2013 C-350 Coupe and well, i am just curious is all lol.

How is the euro charge working out for you? i considered that as a tune option however there was a local tuner who did a flash on the ecu for $800 and i happen to be lucky enough to live near 101 octane so it really helps with performance here in california.

ill try to get more information but at this time i cant really go into too much details as i havent the slightest clue as to what he did.

But no this was not dyno tuned.

The Eurocharge tune has been great for me. I am really happy with it. Of course this is tuned for 93 only as this is an "off the shelf" tune. I definitely do plan on putting my car on the dyno for sh*ts and giggles whenever the opportunity arises. If you can find out more from the local tuner that would be great. Any chance of a speedo vid

@Jeffy;' after looking at his chart i am noticing that as well. That blip towards the end shows the gain; but throughout the power band it looks like he is at 260 whp. OP you should definitely have that double checked by the tuner.

the other three dynos were all in the 300 range...none of those were really good pulls. id like to talk with the shop manager and have them run it again and we will see where it comes in with a better tech.

ill post up a pic in awhile.

I am thinking of doing the Eurocharge one, but hey, do you or someone has Vbox numbers to back up the changes in acceleration because of the tune?
