Sport Package and Pained Calipers (NOT)
My 2016 E400 has the sport package and one of the items listed in the package is painted calipers, yet mine are not painted at all. The do have the Mercedes logo on them but they are crappy looking gray color, not paint. Anyone else notice this...? I'm going to be adding the Vossen CVT's in the spring and really would like red calipers.

On my C63, I painted the calipers myself using G2. Results were great and it took a couple hours.
No caliper removal, brake bleeding, etc.
Most auto parts stores carry it.

On my C63, I painted the calipers myself using G2. Results were great and it took a couple hours.

From what I have read when using G2 the prep is by far the most important part of the process. It's frankly what's got me thinking of finding someone to do it for me.

The caliper paint comes as a kit. Included is an aerosol can of brake cleaner.
Spray each brake and wipe off with a clean rag. Second applications may be needed.
The paint comes with an epoxy hardener, so you will need to do all four calipers before the paint sets up.
It's been well over a year and the calipers are still in good condition. No peeling or chips.
