Spyshots of the 2018 E Coupe

Came across this article for the new E Coupe. To me it looks very plain, missing the pronounced belt line of the sedan and looks more like the C Coupe. It no longer has its uniqueness

I agree, but I find the new C-Coupe to look better than that.

Hopefully it keeps its individuality and great street presence.

Fortunately, the tail lights are different than the 4 door. That is a plus, we basically know now how they would look like.

I really wish that they keep a powerful V8 option, not only for the rumored AMG version!

Looks like a bigger copy of the c coupe. It loses all its uniqueness. The side profile looks extremely plain

I despise the *** of all of these new Benzes: C coupe, E coupe/vert, S coupe, etc, etc.. and that horrible X6 looking GLE.. ick.. I long for the days (likely never to return) where each model line up w/in the family had their own distinct looks, and character. I do appreciate where they're going with their interiors though. At least MB has helped me kick my lust for "the next model", and for future facelifts... A/C207 was the last E I like...

When I first saw the rear end of the S and C coupe, I thought, 'that looks like a BMW 2 door 6 Series rear end'. And I am not saying it isn't ok to look at, just that I expect that sort of thing from Hyundai.

I hate that every car must use the same taillight design. I've accept that the mercedes eyebrow will be prominent across all front fascias, but why so the C, E and S sedans use the same tail light designs? Why do all the C, E and S coupes use the exact same design? It takes away all the uniqueness and ability to tell them apart easily

The cars are now becoming just bigger and smaller copies of each other when we once had an original looking line up with the CLS, S, E, C, M, SL and G classes of a few years ago

Well said. I'm completely flummoxed by the similarity of the new MBZ cars. Driving up behind a new C 300 (or is it an E 300?), I can't tell the difference until I read the letter on the trunk. Head on, the differences are extremely subtle. I asked a salesman. His response was even more confusing. "It's the wind tunnel". Huh? Well...OK.

Well ... I for one prefer the intra-brand familiarity of the front fascia's as depicted on the S/E/C series coupes as opposed to the inter-brand familiarity of the front fascia's as depicted on the new Audi A/S 4/5-Ford Fusion-Kia-Subaru's in which all seem to look like each other ... so much so that you can't really tell what you're looking at until up close and personal. At least I know I'm seeing a MB when I come upon one ...

2014 E550 Coupe and 2010 E350 Sedan
These look like the 350 version of the car. So I would expect a more subdued look as compared to the 400/550 version. At least that's what I'm hoping. The C coupe is a nice looking car, especially the C63. If they can give that same treatment to the E coupe that'd be great.

With all that said, I'm very happy with my '14. I don't see myself trading for the new style at this point.

This came up on my Google feed just now:
http://www.autoevolution.com/news/20...ge-112991.html

Looks a little better.

Funny thing is I actually think the tails on a F12 (6-series) look good, inline w/the looks of the vehicle.. Not so much (imo) on these new Benzes

In comparing this E coupe, I immediately thought E43 as opposed to the black trio previously seen on the auto carrier. Found an article which tends to agree with my thoughts.

Some new spyshots here, showing the car in red and less camo. Looks a little better than the previous shots, but I hate the rounded side profile
