Removal of Air Bag Warnings from Sun Visors?

I'm trying to figure out how to remove the ugly yellow and white air bag warnings from my 2018 E400 Coupe's sun visors. With my previous cars I was able to do so by heating the warning stickers with a hair dryer, which loosened the glue that held them in place and allowed me to peel them off (followed by a bit of Goo Gone to remove the remaining glue). However, that hasn't worked with this car — the warnings seem to be part of the visor itself rather than something glued to it. Has anyone figured out how to do this without damaging the visors? If so, I would greatly appreciate your wise counsel.

Hey Judge - will be interested to hear the feedback - I have an '18 E400 Cabriolet and am fortunate enough to NOT have that "feature" on my visor
Good luck, Steve

That strikes me as kinda odd — why would the E400 Cabriolet not have the stickers? It must have air bags, and I believe that the Feds require that manufacturers and sellers include the warnings on all the new cars they sell. In any event, I wonder if the Cabriolet visors would fit in the Coupe.

BTW, in searching for solutions I discovered that some people actually seek out and buy the ugly stickers: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-Be...IAAOSwZd1Vec3r

Hey Judge - well, egg on my face. When I originally read your post I went out to the garage and took a look inside ... didn't see the label. Well, this morning I got in the vehicle and lo and behold, there is the label, albeit a small one. I didn't really notice it before.
But now I'm blaming you as it's now Bothering Me hahahaaa. It looks to me like it's "heat pressed" into the visor ... so I'm not fooling with it.
However my last car, a Corvette, the aftermarket community actually sold a color coordinated "sleeve" to swallow the visor covering the label so you would not see it .... perhaps that will show up soon for our A/C 238's ....

I believe I saw a process for safely removing these signs on the Porsche Club of America forum. I recall it was on a sub forum for Caymans. I've removed these before when they could be pealed off after applying an adhesive remover but these new ones are more problematical. Good luck...and let us know how you make out.

If the air bag warning can't be safety removed, I may consider simply covering it, a solution recommended on other forums.

I found this site: https://www.sunvisorsolutions.com/home.html

Also this one: https://a1decals.com/products-page/f...decal-sticker/

~ I was lucky enough to have both of my visors replaced at the dealer (warranty - mirror clips broke) and the factory replacement ones didn't have the impregnated decals, just a clean solid black. So much better looking! This maybe the only way to eliminate them for they are heated melted into the plastic/vinyl.

I was able to remove them on my older bmw cars but not so lucky on the mb cars.

Warranty item? What happened to trigger replacement of your visors under the warranty? Inquiring minds.... ;-)

~ the spring retractor broke on the driver side and the mirror cover broke on the passenger side so they replaced them and I was happy the replacement ones from Germany had no decal.
