Blue Efficiency Badge Removal

I would like to remove the Blue Efficiency badges from my 2012 E550 Cab and replace with V8 biturbo badges. I was under the impression the badges were attached with double sided tape. I went out tonight with my dental floss to try and remove the badges and I couldn't get the dental floss to pass through behind the badge. I gently used a trim tool to pry up the badge a bit and it appears there are barrel clips. I decided to stop and not force it until I did more research. Am I mistaken about the barrel clips?

No clips on my 2012 E550 Coupe. I used a heat gun as well when I removed my Blue Efficiency Badge.

I have not had anyone tell me the badge was attached with barrel clips, but yet it appears to be on mine. Perhaps I am mistaken and I am seeing bit of glue residue that looks like a barrel clip pin. I didn't want to force it until I did a bit more research.

Thanks for the info. I finally removed the badges, but have some adhesive residue remaining. I have tried Goo Gone and Windex, but it is still there. Ideas?

Try some "Skin So Soft". Worked for me. Ask your wife/girl friend. She'll know what it is.

Your wife uses a skin softener that dissolves adhesives?
