New to MB
Hello all. Just purchased my first MB. A 2016 CPO e400 4matic coupe! I’m coming from a 2015 Lexus GS350 which I really enjoyed. The lease was up on the Lexus. Decided to purchase this time. I really like the coupe. Looking forward to my new ride!

Congrats and enjoy the new ride. You'll find the MB has better road feel than the Lexus. Enjoy.

welcome to mbworld yround.
interesting thread... as your comparo (GS to E coupe, with the E coupe being the smaller and lighter car i assume?) is the reverse of mine - i have both an IS (the IS being a lexus' smaller sedan than the GS, for those unfamiliar) and an E sedan, and the IS is much sportier feeling imo than the E (w212) - given the E is the bigger and heavier car i am not surprised by this - have not driven a GS in a long while so am not familiar with the ride. Will be interesting to read what your thoughts are on coming from a 4-door GS to a 2-door E... #stayingtuned

Thanks PatrixUSA. The e coupe feels more nimble and sportier than the GS and more engaging. The Gs in sport mode was deceivingly quick and responsive but otherwise just a really leisurely smooth ride. I’m still getting used to the e coupe but have to say it doesn’t feel as planted in turns as the Gs in sport mode; a little too much play in the steering. Maybe I just need to get used to driving it.

2016 E400 Coupe (C207)
Mine's not 4-Matic (if that makes a difference), but I came from a BMW 3-Series and I've noticed that the rear end of the E400 Coupe tends to let go in turns a lot sooner than the BMW did.

My previous car was an F10 BMW 5 series M-Sport X-Drive with the Dynamic Handling Package. My 2017 E400C4 does not "handle" near as well as the Bimmer-- don't get me wrong; I like the E400, but I'd like to try one with M-B dynamic handling. I think the E400 would beat the 535ix in a straight line (0-60) for sure, but not even close in the turns.

I went from a 2012 C63 to a 2013 991S to the E400 coupe. I have had this car a bit over 3 years and whilst I miss the noise of the W204 and the presence of the 911, I am very content with the Benz. Having said that I am an old man so not interested in speeding around anymore.
