X-Pipe on v8 biturbo yes or no?

Considering deleting the resonators on my 2015 e550 cab, but getting mixed information on whether i should do a straight pipe or an x-pipe. Read on some posts that you should not do an X-Pipe on the biturbo v8.
Any expert to confirm or deny?
Thanks!

It won't hurt anything, but you likely won't gain any sound vs the factory resonator. Straight pipes on the other hand make a big difference in sound.

X-pipes tend to drone less, but mufflers are a bigger factor there.

I don't have the straight pipe resonator delete, but from what I've heard there is no drone with that and stock mufflers.

I am no expert, but I removed all three resonators and installed an X-pipe on my '13 E550, leaving the stock mufflers in place. I believe that it is an excellent choice because it most certainly does add the perfect amount of sound volume with a deep growl and without any drone whatsoever. I highly recommend it, and would do it again in a heartbeat!

So I ended up replacing the main resonator with an X-pipe and it did add a little different sound. I like it a lot.

If you want a bit more sound, remove the two small "bullet" resonators as well. No drone whatsoever, never too loud at all.

I had taken those out first - catless, no resonators to stock mufflers. Still have no drone and if I cruise with my foot off the pedal it's almost silent. But cold starts are loud and it growls with any throttle applied. No complaints

So to clarify, you removed the two cats AND the two small bullet resonators, and now you recently removed the large resonator as well? WOW! My car still has the cats, then just an x-pipe to the stock mufflers. Just right for my taste.

Hey, I am entertaining the idea of removing my resonators. Just wanted to clarify, do you put an X pipe where the big resonator is and the straight pipe the 2 bullet resonators? Or do you X the 2 bullets and straight pipe the large resonator into the mufflers.

Thanks!

If I remember correctly, you only have enough room to put the x-pipe where the big resonator is. Do it! I assure you that you will not be disappointed.

I also removed the bullet resonators, sounds deeper under acceleration no drone. Sounds great. Gotta say by the seat of the pants maybe less torque, i've read the posts regarding this with the idea that less back pressure may have an impact but that the resonators have little effect on this... If there is a torque/hp change its minor and the car has alot.
