Good day to all,
I am an E 350 Coupe newly proud owner...and ofcourse I want to upgrade my Steering Wheel.
I have read a lot about it but still I could not find any information if there is any AMG Style Wheel for direct fit.
I already bought a beautifull wheel...and ofcourse...nothing works.
Please HELP me with below queries:
1. There is any AMG Style direct fit to my 2010 C 207 Coupe ?
2. There is any way of installing the already purchased Steering Wheel, without replacing the inner electronic card ( I do not want to modify bouth wheels...better buy another one, direct fit )
Attached my old wheel and the new one.
Thank you ! Old, OEM Steering Wheel, C 207, year 2010, Shift Paddles New one, AMG Style, Shift Paddles
I have a 2011 E550 Cab and replaced my steering wheel also. It's not hard if you have the right steering wheel and column. I bought everything from CKM Car Design:
If you already have the correct column, then it should be simple. If you need the column, you can contact Chris from CKM and buy it from him, or search on Ebay. Good luck!
So...I found another Steering Wheel from 2012 E Coupe, installed, lights on, buttons seems to work, than everything seized. Nu more control. No more auto retractable seat belts.
I called Mercedes, they told me that the information from Steering Wheel was not correct and must re-write something in computer.
Any ideas ? ...why this error after dismantling-fitting back the column and replacement of the steering wheel ? I have removed and installed back same the column.
There is no other error. I had some others due to battery low voltage but I reset them all.
So...I have replaced the battery...then no more errors.
I have re-write the Steering Wheel buttons and my new Steering Wheel is working perfect. All buttons, lights and paddles.
I installed 2012 model Steering Wheel on my 2010 E Coupe.
Thanks for sharing your journey to replace the steering wheel to an AMG styled one. I hope to do the same. Can you elaborate what you mean when you "re-write the steering wheel buttons"?

Hi! You need to find a skilled guy with a tester, access the car software and "learn" the buttons of the new steering wheel what to do. The procedure is not complicated but you need a steering wheel from the same generation with your car. I do not think that it will work with newer models.
