C207 Passengers seat backrest not reclining forward
ISSUE RESOLVED:Thank you for your swift replies and support, MB family. This issue has been resolved and by way of courtesy and convenience, I am posting the solution here. I took my C207 to a mechanic/MB Specialist who removed the entire seat + mount and 're-initialised' it with the vehicles system. No parts/components were replaced. I asked what the process of 're-initialising' means and I didn't get the best of explanations (maybe disconnected the battery? not sure) but it works like a charm now. I paid a total of £30.00 ($40.00) and the work was done within an hour. If you're in London/surrounding areas and experience the same issue, I'll remain subscribed to this thread, so please post here if you need support and I'll point you in the direction of my mechanic.
Hi all, I hope you and your families are keeping well during these unprecedented times.
I have a 2011 Mercedes E350 with electronically assisted seating with memory seats (on the door) and Lumbard support. My passenger side seat backrest fails to recline forward to a comfortable position for every single one of my passengers. The entire seat movement (back and forward, up and down) and the headrest functions (up and down) are perfectly fine, however, the recliner goes all the way back, but fails to go all the way forward (pic attached). It reclines forward, but only to a point and then stops.
The driver side seat is fine, only the passenger side is a problem. I bought the car from a friend who said that the seat should recline more forward and needs to get checked out.
I've checked for any obstructions under the seat, nothing found. Wiring looks fine too. The tracks/gears for the reclining function found on the sides of the seat also show no obstruction.
Please could anyone help shed some light on this? All pics below - driver seat is in standard driving position and left for comparison with passenger seat.
Thank you - SB.

Reason: Updated with solution
Hi Mr. Toad, thanks for your swift reply. When I pull the lever to access the rear seats, all functions operate as normal. The backrest pulls forward, the headrest sinks down into the backrest and the entire seat moves forward electronically for access to the rear.
Hi Premierone, have a quick look at the original post for the solution my mechanic/MB-specialist provided. He removed the entire seat + mount and 're-initialised' it with the vehicles system.
Hi, removing the seat shouldn't be an issue, but do you have any directions on how to reinitialise the seat? Is this done on a jumper, in the comand interface or somewhere else?

Please provide contact details for your mechanic, thanks
Premierone - I'm afraid I don't have the answer to your question, really sorry. CLKThreeTwenty - I've privately messaged you my mechanic's contact details, already spoke to him and he's more than happy to help with your issue.
Hi Premierone, just message you his contact number. FYI We're in London and I believe you're in the the US, so you'll have to use the country code +44 to make a call.
Hi i wanna thanks to SB5 I solved my problem without many problems for which I am very grateful. I initialized my seat with LAUNCH easy diag, I didn't need original MB diagnostics.
