Question E63 Wheel Fitment on 13 E550 Coupe??? HELP!!

I've searched and read just about every wheel fitment thread on here and I'm getting ready to replace the 10 spoke AMG 5 Star wheels on my 13 E550 coupe. The 5 are nice, but I just don't visually like the split spoke look. I know they're not much different, but the 2007 - 2009 E63 AMG III wheels have always been my favorite wheel. The 13 wheels are 18X8 ET45 fronts and 18X8.5 ET 48 rears. The 07-09 E63's are 18X8.5 ET38 fronts and 18X9 ET 39 rears. Will these fit with OEM tires mounted?

I looked into these specific wheels.. the offsets are ideal for a C207 - more flush than the stock wheels. But if you swap your stock tires over they'll be a little stretched. Good opportunity to go 10mm wider IMO (265 & 245).

Thanks for the reply! My take on the " more flush" is the wheel/tire will be more outwards toward the fender opening? I looked @ the tire sidewalls and the nominal widths are 8.5 J on the fronts and 9.0 J on the rears. Thanks again for your help!!!

Yes, less tucked under the fenders.

Thanks Siegmann !!!! I just got the new wheels mounted and the offsets do look better! I was a tad concerned about inside tire clearance against the strut, but they fit without issue!

I think this is the confirmation I have been searching for...

So if I get 19 x 8.5 ET38 and 19 x 9.5 ET38
with
245/35/19 and 265/30/19

on a non-lowered 2010 C207, I will not have any fitment issues and it will have a nice flush look?
could I even do 275 for the rears?

Thanks!

9.5 ET38 is aggressive and may stick out a little. Ordinarily 275s will fit on 9.5" wheels just fine. But with that offset you may need a narrower tire to stay flush.

OK, how about these?
on a non lowered C207.

9J x 18H2 ET37
9.5J x 18H2 ET52

If I am starting to understand correctly, I think the rears will need a spacer?

The 9.5" rears will fit great without a spacer, and 275 tires. The 9" fronts are a little wide but should be fine with a 245 tire. Maybe even a 255... I haven't personally run a 9" wheel up front but others here have.

I tried that calculator, but it does not consider change in wheel size from 18 to 19...
moving up to 19s would this fit?

19 x 8.5 ET34 with 245/40/19
and
19 x 9.5 ET34 with 275/35/19

correct me if I am wrong please...
Fronts will fit fine, but the rears will protrude to fender? ET in back should be 40 or higher for a proper fit?

604; I assume you have 18" wheels? If so then you may have forgot about adding the inch of rim to the new tire. This is why people usually drop a sidewall size when going up an inch, or wider, and you're doing both.
275/35 19 is ~1.55" taller
275/30 19 is ~.5" taller

I have the same wheels as the op in the pix, and I think they look great, just wish they were wider and lighter. I'd love to get 9.5" in the rear, then move my existing 8.5 rears to the front with the thought of running 295 in back 255 in front.
Guess I need to crawl under and measure. If 295 is too much then might as well just put 275 on the existing wheels and call it good.

Ah yes rim height. Thanks for that. I think I will lean towards sticking to 18s. I'm trying to do this budget anyway.

Whoa. 295s would be straight beastly. Would look so sick for sure!
So 255s on 18 x 8.5 can fit up front no probs?
I would be happy to just go 245 front and 265 rear.

I have 245 265 now and they look stock. Edge of tire is flush with rim. So I think 275 would fit no prob. But note those tire specs are approx, I think they round it so maybe its 260 and another brand might be 270 and both claim 265? The last set of 265 I had was fatter but still looked fine. Never rubbed.

Do you mean you have 265s on a 18 x 8.5 wheel?

Also, am I doing any dis-service by going from stock 18 x 8 and 18 x 8.5s

to an "upgrade" of 18 x 7.5 fronts and 18 x 18.5 rears? (read as: these fit my tight budget)
would run 235/40/18 and 255/35/18 or 265/35/18 if they fit.

Thanks for your insights and opinions.

or these...

also 7.5 and 8.5
but these sets with smaller fronts cost just a bit more than fixing my curbed stock wheel.
so that's why considering them.

Sorry for the thread resurrection and hijacking.
Makes no sense to go down in wheel size.
