Time from VPC to dealership 😡

My 2021 E 450 Cabriolet arrived at the Long Beach Ca VPC on 4/17/21. Dealership says it’s been “released for a transporter, and it’s marked priority 1”. Has no idea when car will arrive. Dealership is only 6 hours from VPC. Dealership says it could be up to 2 weeks. To ME, when I’ve spent $80,000.00 on a vehicle, with a luxury brand like Daimler Benz, there should be a better option for tracking. Amazon, UPS, FEDEX etc., allow you to track a paper clip. I’m very disappointed.

Welcome to MB! I had a similar experience, I finally gave up on being frustrated, and waited it out patiently. You will get your car soon, and after a few weeks, all will be forgiven.😉

Same experience here when I ordered.. They only know when it hits the truck to their dealership for delivery. Do I believe it??? no... I do think they can tell where the cards are at all times since they are scanned at every point in the process... I gave up asking and just waited for the phone call at that time. Seems like nothing has changed in 3 years..

Same experience here when I ordered.. They only know when it hits the truck to their dealership for delivery. Do I believe it??? no... I do think they can tell where the cards are at all times since they are scanned at every point in the process... I gave up asking and just waited for the phone call at that time. Thanks guys for the many responses
my intention was to educate on my issues and spare the nextvbuyer the issues I have dealt with.
some however missed the point.
My main point for a car that paid for nearly $100k, I deserve to expect at least the dealer and Mercedes to comply with my signed agreement and build. If this is an economy car maybe ok. But this is suppose to be the luxury company.
They did not share with me the missing items in advance with complete transparency. Imagine if I tried to ask a way from an option that I signed on. They could have called to let me know. Or they could have shared that with me during the delivery of the car. I discovered this later on and called the customer connect. They thought I had it. And then discovered not. They should have called and let me know snd give me the choice since they are changing the specs of an established build. They did not. Is this ok? Not with me
for the witless it is a very bad deal and very bad response. They could have taken the initiative to contact apple and or look at the user data base. Clearly I am not the only one. And yet the dealer still does not believe the issue
I will never buy from this company again. I don’t want to deal with arrogance and lack of transparency and not respecting me enough to share with me that they are changing and a greed to and signed build snd specs.

just be careful and check your car. I was cheated. My expectation was way much higher from the luxury company. I was wrong. I had better treatment and support with other suppliers where vehicle delivered as specified.

And besides, this is the 207 forum for cars 2009-17. Discussions/complaints on new ones probably belongs elsewhere. My wife just acquired a 2013 coupe with 18,000 miles and loves it.
