Show Tire Pressures On Command?

Hi, I just got a 2011 E550 Cab, and it seems like the low tire pressure symbol is always on. I went and filled up the tires to 36 front / 46 back like it says on the door... it went off for a while but then came back on.

When I first got in the car after filling the tires though it showed a little display with the exact numbers of what it was sensing each tire at... just wondering if there is some button I can press to display those pressure sensor readings again.

Thanks!

Welcome to the group. Use the left-right buttons on the left side of the steering wheel to get to the SERV menu. Then use the up-down buttons in the same array to get to "tire pressures".

Also, 36/46 is probably not the proper pressure for your tires. Values in the driver's door jamb are only appropriate when the car is at maximum loaded weight (i.e., four passengers and a full trunk). Normal values are noted inside the fuel filler door and are probably 36/36.

Thanks errbody!

Hmm this is what my pressure says now... probably not right.

I'm not even really sure what this means. It's about to be winter too and really cold here in NJ... what pressure should I make them? What will make the exclamation mark half cars symbol go away?

Thanks!

It means that all of your tire pressures are currently incorrect. Per the fuel filler flap decal, you should adjust the tire pressures to 33psi in the front and 36psi in the rear. When they are properly adjusted, reset the TPMS system to store the new values. The system will then warn you if any of the wheels drops below the stored value.

The "exclamation mark half cars symbol" is not related to the tire pressure. I don't have that feature in my car, but I suspect it's related to a driver assistance system such as cruise control or parking. Please check your owner's manual.

It's annoying to look at, but I guess this is fine... I mean if I'm about to smash into something do I even not want to start braking? 😅
