I have a good idea what options I want on a new E450 or E53. It seems MB wants buyers to go thru the dealers. Are there other options, such as ordering direct without spending max retail? Sadly, I do not have the time to go pick it up in Germany

Not sure where you are from.....the European Delivery Plan has been suspended for the time being for the U.S. I really do not think you will be able to order direct from MB if you live in the U.S. We purchased a 2019 E450 Cabriolet on the EDP and really enjoyed the trip over to pick it up at Sindelfingen. We drove it throughout Europe for a couple of weeks and dropped it off in Sindelfingen to be shipped to us.

I’ve stated before. I’m trying to order a 450 cabriolet. It’s been a month. Dealer still hasn’t been able to tell me if I can order one. If you look at the forums, orders are being delayed. Good luck.

Did you ever manage to order yours? I just ordered a 21 E450 Cab, using Costco Auto Buying and Fleet discount, I'm getting mine at Invoice (less $1350 Costco and $1000 fleet). So for a vehicle that is MSRP $80570, I'll be getting it for $73449 (plus tax and license). Not too bad of a discount ($7121 or 8.84%) will no haggling. In the end, I also had them throw in one Service A and B into the final deal. Now for the LONG wait for the order to arrive.

I ended up ordering a C300 cabriolet. The dealer I almost went with on the E450 cabriolet offered $500 off after I kept bringing it up. Finally decided it was too much for me. I’m not getting much off the C300 either, but I got caught up in the process. Don’t know how you got invoice. There must be a lot of dealers close by. I guess I should have gone to a Costco dealer. I haven’t signed any contract yet. They have my $5k deposit and I signed the build sheet. That’s it. Had to order one. I want HUD and the drivers assistance package.

Yea, there are a lot of MB dealerships in my area, not sure if that factored into the Costco discount. Amazingly there were NO E450 cabs on the lot or enroute that met my specs (or even came close), so I decided to custom order. I'm assuming if you have a Costco membership, it doesn't hurt to find out what that discount is. You don't get the discount direct from Costco, you need to get the referral from Costco and go to their specified dealer. They need to show you the Costco price at that time. Good luck!!!

I have contacted the authorized dealer. I have the authorization from Costco. Waiting to hear back. They may not talk to me until I can go there in person. Next week.
