Dealership left off exterior lighting package
What do you do after you notice the dealership left off the exterior lighting package and you paid for it?

Did you check before you picked up the car? Don’t accept the car. It’s not how you ordered it, Do you have the build sheet from the original order?

Return the car, refuse delivery. I don’t think dealer install is possible but can’t hurt to ask.

I have the build sheet and the Sales Manager confirm it was order. Bad part is I didn't notice it until 2 weeks after I had the car.

Don’t know what to tell you. I certainly would have checked the sticker before I signed for the car. Don’t know what your options are now.
Have you questioned the dealer?

Yes working with them now on how to resolve. Hope it just software issue or just change out of the headlight and software upgrade.

what’s small claims court going to do? Make the dealer pay the $900? They will probably do that anyway. OP doesn’t want that.

Shame really, because I think it makes a big difference in terms of headlight performance. I have it on my E Sedan, but not on my GLE, and you can really tell the difference. I wonder if the dealer would re-order and let you swap - even if they charged you .25 cents a mile for the miles driven until the re-ordered car comes in, you'd have a nice car to drive while they build the new one and you'd avoid getting a $900 refund and missing the value of the package. The current red hot used car market would help the dealer move the used unit and you'd get the car you actually ordered.

dealership say it common for Mercedes to leave off options on order cars if they don't have the parts. I find that funny cause that would defeat the ordering process. Does any have email address of top brass at MBUSA?

I’d be very upset if that happened to me. Wait months for a car, then it’s not configured correctly.

Doing some research is the headlamp assembly for none intelligent led highlight part number is A 213 906 37 04 and 38 04 while the headlamp assembly part number for exterior lighting package is A 213 906 04 10 and 03 10 everything else seems to be the same, except im sure there needs to be some software upgrade or 608 and 640 code enable. Can anyone verify?
