Still haven't been able to get the speed limit signs to show up in the Heads-up display. It should be an option for the right side of it according to the manual.

The button for the HUD is on the left side. The settings are controlled by the home button on the left side of the steering wheel. At least in my car.

gmt58, congrats on new car , did you post pictures ? I see you have Macchiato Beige / Light Brown Sen Wood / Magma Grey combination . I'm still deciding between the Sen Wood and Brown High Gloss Ash Wood for my cab . Are you happy with the Sen Wood ,I'm tending to the Dark Ash Wood for more contrast from the Beige ?

I know that the controls are on the left side of the car.

i meant that of the three areas in the Heads up display, the owners manual shows the speed limit sign should show up on the right third of the heads up display.

Hey friends - my 2022 E450C is in production supposedly and slated to be getting a VIN soon.
I've seen rumblings on the MB Reddit and the E class forums here about some cars being delivered with further things stripped down with no forewarning - specifically the 12.3" displays being reduced to a 10" display and changes with the bezels? Can anyone speak to if this is affecting the E450 Coupe production?
I've been worried about any additional unexpected things prior to delivery. Looks like I got $100 credit for no HANDS FREE, though no other mention of anything else missing. The 2022 model going up in price about $1200 was disappointing with no changes to the feature set.

My coupe just finished production and is waiting for a boat. Dealer tells me the only credit showing is the same as what you have. That means we have the 12.3 screens. Of course, we won’t know for sure until the cars show up stateside.

Hi All,

Looks like my dealer (RI) has allocation assigned for my 2022 E450A4 Cabriolet. They indicating that March/April delivery, we will see. They also indicated that they were only 200 E450A4 Cabriolet being built for USA and the model will end in 2022. Looks like the C & E class Cabriolet will be one car soon called ??

Looking for a little help on some options:

Xzillon/Simonize Glasscoat?
Tire and Wheel Protection?
Ding and Dent Protection?
Advance Chip Protection?

Were getting the pre-paid Maintenance plan and extended plan.

Thanks ..

Again, assuming you show the speed limit on the dash, you need to go into settings for the HUD to have the speed limit show up. Have you gone into the HUD settings? I turned it off on mine.

All you need to do is tap the back arrow key or home key on the left side of the steering wheel, a menu will pop up if you scroll, you will find (Assistance, Phone, Navigation, Trip, Radio, Media, Designs & Disp., Service), use the four direction arrows to scroll to Trip, press ok located on the right side of the steering wheel then you can (tap it to display odometer, if it displays your trip instead, you can then swipe up and down using the four direction arrows until you find your odometer. If you haven't notice, when you have the trip screen open the head-up display menu pops up, instead of pressing ok to select trip, you may scroll up to open the head-up display menu. You can then choose to display different styles and the height of the head-up display (HUD).

Alternatively, you can find these settings in the car's infotainment screen. It is located in the assistance menu.
in my car, you have to press and hold the home button for the menu to show up.

Thanks for sharing! Your method probably works too on MBUX in the facelift E-Class. I don't personally have an E 450 so unable to verify but if it does work then it eliminates the need for the clustered of steps I listed.

First off, I take it back , the speed limit is on the right side of the HUD on my car. I had shut it off on mine. I really wanted the DISTRONIC Distance display on that side anyway. It should be on the rotation for the right side of the HUD if it's been enabled in your main settings. If it's showing on the main dashboard display then I think it must be enabled. This on a 2022 E Coupe.

I did not post pictures. Too lazy to figure out how. I am happy with the Sen Wood, It gives the interior a very light feel. Dark Ash would give more contrast of course. All a matter of taste. Some might consider my interior to be bland.

Actually there was a change to the standard feature set. I think the Adaptive High beam Assist became standard equipment and the cost of the exterior lighting package was reduced slightly. Kind of a wash if you got both, but included in the $1200 increase if you didn't order the exterior lighting package.

3 weeks and still just sitting at the factory awaiting shipment. Apparently shipping on the east coast is backed up just like the west coast is/was. Anyone want to split the cost of a 747 freighter and go pick up cars?? Lol

2018 E450
I have a 2018 E450 coupe and the lease is up in May. What I'm seeing here is pretty discouraging. Seems like I can kiss the idea of a 2022 replacement E450 or even E53 adios. I don't know how you all are tolerating not having a handsfree trunk!

My other options are to keep this, or I've been looking at the BMW 8 series, but I was really hoping for the E450.

You could consider custom ordering one with it with your salesperson and see if it gets deleted by factory later on otherwise buying out your vehicle might not be a bad idea. Custom ordering gives you another option, if the factory does not delete it you can keep the order if it does then you can just walk away in most cases.

That being said, try to custom order later incase chip shortage improves and it is more unlikely the factory will delete the option from your build later on or you can totally try ordering now it is up to you. Hopefully you secure an allocation.

The 8 series is at a different price point so it might not be your first option.

I’d wager things are not any better at other brands. BMW was shipping some models with touch screens deleted. I can strain myself to press the trunk open button. Assuming the car actually shows up of course! Lol

Yeah, the 8 doesn't have a touchscreen or sunroof. The sunroof is the bigger deal for me. I don't think I'd use the touchscreen anyway, but the trunk is bigger than either for me lol.

How do you think I feel? I have a convertible. I don’t have an outside button for the trunk. I either have to use the FOB or the button on the driver’s door. Definitely a first world problem.

I remember when you actually had to use an actual metal key to open the trunk.

For sure, I still don't understand why MB didn't just made that available for the coupe and convertible during the facelift, the pre-facelift didn't get it I get it but it is no excuse that the facelift doesn't have it. Even a C118 CLA has it (although it is newer than the C205 and A205) but still.... how frustrating. They could easily implemented it in the badge especially for the facelift just like the aforementioned vehicle. It could even be just a simple latch when pushing the badge it releases.
