Whoops! Help!

Hey guys,

Well I messed up today. I was doing the 50k service on my A238 and replacing the spark plugs. I managed to break the clips that connect the wires to the ignition coil on the passenger side. All three clips broken. Looks like two separate wire sets for the three plugs. Does anyone have the part numbers to replace those two wire sets? The ignition coils themselves have no damage, but the wires won't stay clipped on now and I'm afraid to drive her until that's fixed. This is a 2018 A238, VIN WDD1K6FBXJF041797. Thanks to anyone who can help!

-Grant

Is the part you need in this picture? These are part numbers for your car.

Sorry for the delayed response guys. Once I realized the parts department was closed for the weekend I improvised and got busy with other weekend work. What I broke is the connections on the end of the wire that attaches to the top of part 10. The wire seems to run along the top of the engine to the ECU area and disappears. I broke all 3 that feed back from the passenger side spark plugs. For now they're held in place with zipties... Will share a how to when I take it apart to replace the wires.

Ha! Man I hope you're joking. The zip ties at least can be removed. These clips have to come off at least every 50k.

I was joking mostly. However, I wasn't suggesting gluing the coil wires to the receptacle, but rather gluing the broken parts of the plastic on the connector on the wiring harness back together. I am guessing the plastic tab/whatever on the connector broke off and is probably gone into the ether - but if you had both ends maybe...

Aah, yeah the pieces snapped when I pulled too hard. No dice on gluing them together. The zip ties are working quite well though. If I wasn't afraid they'd eventually melt then it would actually be a viable long term solution. Still need the wire part numbers if anyone has them. Thanks!
