Looking to buy a W123 300D-request

I am looking to buy a W123 300D. Other than ebay, does anyone know a potential source? I want a car that has been restored, not a project.

Thanks.

eBay, local paper, AutoTrader, and Craigslist. Every W123 is at least 22years old so they are all going to be a project unless you get a $10,000+ museum piece.

You can even ask you MB dealer, since you have ordered the GL from them, tell them you are looking for an old diesel in excellent condition. They may not be able to help, but at least they should call if they find something. Also, depending on how far you will go to get the car, there are some amazing examples on ebay.

Depends on what you mean by "project". I just bought an '83 300D and it is in very good shape (187k miles). Needs adjustment to the radio antennae and one window doesn't roll down... but other than that it is set. Although it's been very well maintained... and has 24 years of service records

Since most "project" W123 require fixes any one of which will cost more than the value of the car, you will find very few "restored" W123. Frankly, even the well-maintained versions are now old enough to require on occasion these same more-than-the-car-worth repairs. Just having transmission leaks fixed professionally, for example.
