Its done!
I was not able to get all of the pictures that I wanted, being alone to do this, and its pretty cold up here and snowing too.But I did install an insert (HeliCoil) on the oil filter housing. Not much room to drill from above so I had to go under the car and drill the hole to remove the old threading.I was lucky enough that I didn't have to buy a new HeliCoil kit since it was the same size and diameter as the one I did on my transmission oil pan last summer http://benzguy.piczo.com/howtodothre...kvar=000044.In any case its a done deal,of course RED locktite was applied.Took less then an hour to complete the job but I had to wait about two hours before starting the engine, only to let the locktite set.
Cheers!
