I'm not feeling it either....
I really like the look of the Monoblock II on the W124. It just looks "right". If the silver is too boring...polish or chroming can make it more interesting.

W124's
Eric,
the Brabus wheels look great! What size are the current tires right now? I would step up to a bigger sidewall in the future to fill in that gap you have all around right now. Also, maybe a future project. Have the lips polished chrome and it will look nice!
Hmm...I think if you go with the smoked theme like I am. The car will look great with the wheels. Perhaps maybe Hella smoked tailights like Ramil on his 500E and other smoked nik naks.
Oh! you missed out tonight man. It was awesome.

the tires are 245/40 18's in the rear and 225/40 18's in the front. they came with the rims. the back pass rear seems to rub a bit when i do a cloverleaf at high speed and max body roll. i might just roll the fender a bit more. i will talk to alon on that. the fronts dont seem to rub.
I did have to grind off 7mm on each lug in the rear because the stock ones hit the ebrake springs. i could of ordered the correct ones from brabus that were 33mm long but they were 60 bux and in newport and i wanted to see if i love the rims before i spent anymore $$$.
i really need to figure out what to do about the center caps. i dont think i am in love with those. if i black them out it might look odd. i cant polish the lip on these rims because they are powder coated and it is super hard to remove powder coat.

Looks good, I told you 245's in the rear would be too wide on 18x8.5's.
Forget about rolling the rears more, too much trouble. You probably already rolled the lips as much as they can go. You would probably end up having to hammer them out. Better solution just go smaller 225's....

to each his own i guess.
also i wouldnt have the 1st notion of what nascar cars look like. watching cars drive around in circles doesnt really interest me. now if you said f1 or american le mans or something that takes a bit more skill then i could comment a little further.

I can appreciate your trying to be a little different but....those all black wheels look like the emergency spare wheel you put on after you blow out a tire kinda silly looking sorry....you need a polished lip to give it some good contrast....
