I think Debbie wants to join the one2four club.

Too bad Lindsay Lohan doesn't want to join.

Don't worry about giving me any grief. Today a stupid knucklehead pulled out from a parallel parking spot and he drove right into the back rear portion of my rear passenger door, the rear quarter panel, and the AMG wheel. I was traveling at less than the posted 25 mph speed limit and he still pulled right out without looking where he was going. Can you believe this? He was driving a W124! It had dents all over it and he said he was in the process of buying it from a friend with a 3 million dollar house. The car was still in his friend's name and the insurance card was expired. He wasn't even sure about his address, but thankfully the police were available to help him understand that he was going to have to produce valid insurance and a valid address.
I guess it will be OK somehow, since my insurance will pay and go after the others for my deductible. The knucklehead even managed to scratch my AMG Monoblock I wheels, which were absolutely unavailable from anywhere that I tried in the past. They are the Monoblock I wheels in a 16" size and I was never able to find one when I wanted to get a 5th wheel for a spare. They are the old-school wheels and they are a bit unusual since they are the 16" size. I love my wheels. Fortunately the very good Mercedes specialist body shop said that the wheel could easily be resurfaced and refinished. I think it really will be OK, but it is a big nuisance and I have been sick to my stomach thinking about the fact that my pristine car has been damaged. The estimator made me feel a little better when he explained how they would fix things. It wont be a fill -it-in-with-putty kind of job. It is a very fine body shop.
Now my only problem is that I absolutely hate driving around with the car damaged. It just doesn't feel right at all.
I guess today I really am Debbie Downer.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I KNOW how you took care of your car. But sounds like you got it under control! I am going to put in this link just for your info on wheel repair.

Thanks for the link. I am sure the Wheel Collision Center can repair my wheel and they are even located very close to where I live. Someday I might even think about getting some polished lips, now that I know how local they are. They also had quite a list of wheels to purchase. I especially liked the 16" x 7.5" 5-spoke Mercedes wheels that came on the W210 model. They look like my OEM 15" Special Edition wheels, except they are the 16" x 7.5" size. I think they may even have a slightly higher offset than my AMGs, so I would be able to fit 225/50/16 tires without rubbing. I can't imagine replacing my AMG wheels and I don't want to give up my OEM Special Edition wheels, even though they are only 15" wheels, but it is fun thinking bout getting another set of wheels.
I am smiling again, so everything is going to be OK. I just have to get my car fixed as soon as possible so I can go on with my life and not keep thinking about yesterday and my damaged vehicle.
