Do you care about the paint? or are you repainting? I can tell you how I did mine, I used some vicegrips that had two metal plates instead of teeth, i used this to crimp and then pull back the metal lip... This was all done in phases as to produce a smooth end product. I was very pleased with this method, but I didn't have to worry about the paint as I was repainting the car at that time. I could send pics if you want.

lots of cars
Well i did it when i was changing my rims and took off my rims and got a hammer and bent the lips. I also use a flat face hammer and that was about it. Just make sure your paint is not that thick so it cracks when you bend the lips.

myfirstbenz thanks, and yes i'd love to see pics. post them here or send them to marcustrey18@hotmail.com and i havnt decided if im going to re paint because the paint is crappy but it cost 4-5 grand for a re spray done correctly. i was thinkin of doin the prep work my self then having it re painted cuz that would save me 3-4grand.
Did you repaint and prep yourself or did you pay to have it done?

I have a fender rolling tool. but you can do it with a hammer. just heat the paint up to like 80 degrees or so and then hammer a little at a time. it wont look pretty underneath, but it gets the job done.
One could also use a grinder and cut off the lip altogether, but then you runt he risk of slicing as tire so I don't do that.
I havent tried the fender rolling tool I got yet, but I plan on using it sooner or later when I get my car back from the mechanic.

That's why remove the tire and then roll your fender. Also since my car is dark grey i painted the whole it so it won't look like i hit it all over the plate. Also if your going to use a hammer start from the bottom working your self to the other side. Make sure you test how soft the metal is and start rolling little by little don't just hammer away!
